Have a scanner hooked up to your car and do a data stream to see if your knock sensor is still working. On a heavy load, if the ECM detects detenation in the engine, it will automatically want to ****** the timing to make it run better on a load.

I had a similiar problem it turned out be the catalytic converter. I believe there was a recall for this problem.

This car is known to have a couple problems with the automatic transmission. One possibility is that the differential pin has come loose and his hitting on the inside of the transmission. This requires an overhaul, however it doesn't sound like your problem. This transmission is also known for having the valve body in the transmission wear out and cause erratic shifting. This could be your problem. It is still a fairly expensive repair, but does not require the transmission to be removed or overhauled. Hope this helps.

I think what you were saying is your reverse slams, and only when you give it gas.
You can try to do the reverse slam fix, which is easy to do:
