2003 Honda Stream Questions & Answers
I have a problem with my Honda Stream it keeps on raising, can you help me please?
I assume by saying raising you mean the engine is raceing, or speeding out of control? I recommend you take it by your favorite autoparts store, and ask them nicely to read your ECU (computer)
error codes. You may be able to DIY. but It may take a dealer or reliable repair shop to fix your problem. Unless perhaps the throttle pedel is catching on something.
Speedo light dont go
Unless you have experience with modern instrument clusters, I do not recommend taking yours apart. You can easily damage the gauges and circuits if not properly disassembled/reassembled. And a new cluster will empty your wallet with a quickness. Some are upwards of $1000 now. The bulbs are deep inside this cluster. Some are not even serviceable separately. If you feel like tackling it, it's just some trim pieces and a few screws and connectors to get the unit out, but servicing it, as I said, is pretty technical. Good luck! (ps, check with your local Honda dealer, they may have a fix/bulletin about it.
M is constantly appearing instead of P, D, R , N on dashboard

its made in japan actual and is related to our civic , it states
on ours (USA) the D flashes for tranny erros
did you scan you cars PCM , using a modern scan tool ,
it will show ALL tranny errors, scan first, ask question after.
all cars, period. that is how it works with complex cars.
i looked at our, 2003 operators guide, lost yours>
and there is no "M" error but in your country,? did you check your book?
scan it.
the lamps glow by action of
PRNDL switch in tranny inputted to the TCM (tranny brain)
if the PRNDL ever messes the TCM logs DTC error codes
saying what failed.
why not look.??????????
if there are no errors, then the tranny shifter display is bad.
(or loose wires, to it<<< always with electrics, this is true)

Effect of wrong timing
cam, well that depends on DIRECTIONretarded would cause, lower compression and power.advanced can be more power fast but not slow.really that is what VVT does, runs one way for slow, and other for fast.why do you ask.curiousyours is?why not check compression, if the belt slipped, most go to RETARD.can moves fast and cam says, i dont wont to and it slips,the crank over runs the cam. so very easy, with belt.it retards and compression can fall from 150+PSI to 80,and engine acts like 1Liter , pip squeak engine.
Trouble ac not working
did you check all fuses in dash box and engine by box>?the first check , is the A/C compression clutch enraged?that 1st check ,begins the long diagnosis.if engaged and compr. is spinnng fast (belt not missing)this mean serious loop failure (Freon)if not engaged, (bad clutch) that means the BRAIN is blocking it forgood reasons. if true, we can find out easy what it is with a voltmeter.Its a set of 6 possible logic fails that shut it down.post back if clutch is disengaged. full time.
I took it to the mechanic and diagnosis done
HI, are u sure mechanic replaced the O2 sensor with a new one?or he just erased the code fromt he computer.1. we can erase the error codes using the OBD meter. this will remove the check sign from the dashboard, after some time when the error is generated by computer the check sign lits up again,2. if an oem o2 sensor is used, it wont last for very long. 3. replace it with orignal o2 sensor.
