Points - How do I get them what are they for?

Contact Breaker Points? They make the spark when they open by sending that signal to the ignition coil which sends the high tension charge to the spark plug..

Toro zero turn: clicks when trying to start. Battery is new and has 12.6 volts. Jumped across the solenoid and engine turns about one revolution then stops. Any suggestions?

If its clicking quiclky you say its 12+ volts so i will say you have a bad connection on the battery or on your selinoid. check both sides of selenoid.

How do I fix a lawnmower that stops immediately after starting

The motor is the power house of the cutter which is responsible for rotating the blades. Electric lawn mowers can be stopped for two main reasons: A faulty power switch or a loose cable connection. Motor overheating can cause thermal cut-out to trip.

Toro 22" Recycler Vibration Problem

Disconnect the spark plug for safety reasons. Turn the mower on it's side, carburetor up. Slowly turn the blade by hand. You should notice if it is bent. Remove the blade. It is usually a 9/16 in bolt. Use a straight edge to determine if the cranksaht is bent. If the deck is good, you can find a used engine that bolts on. Otherwise you can use it for parts.

I have Toro 13-38xl dies when I let off brake

Engine dies when brake released is an operator not in seat state (seat switch or relay and/or logic module depending on date of manufacture).

The new ignition switch issue is either the switch is wrong or is connected wrong. Reinstall the original switch and troubleshoot the seat switch circuit.

Toro timemaster 30 pull cord wont pull

Did you hit anything, and jump the blades out of time? When you look under the deck when 1 blade is at 12:00 position the other must be at 3:00 position, or they will hit, and you won't be able to pull the starter rope.

Toro TimeCutter Z17-42 Zero-Turn Riding Mower is breaking belts!

Question edited for clarity, full 'make model (what it is)'. Question moved from Cars and Trucks category to correct Toro. In that scenario, the clutch jamming and locking up against something may be a possibility. If the clutch just jams it holds the blades on contact with the drive. Worn pulleys, badly aligned pulleys, or sticky bearing are much more likely. There is lots of help here as this is a known issue. https://www.google.com/search?q=Toro+timecutter+breaking+belts ..

I have a Toro Timecutter 5000. It keeps breaking or burning up belts. It is on its third mowing season and go through two belts per season. I don't trust the service center I bought it from because they always give excuses and it is always domething I am not doing right. Is there a check list or procedures to make sure everything is correct or a way to troubleshoot the problem.

Check that the spindle, tensioner, and idler pulleys are nearly in the same plane (same height above deck). Check that all pulleys run parallel to the deck.Double check part number on belt is correct for the machine.Release belt tension, see operators manual, and make sure all spindles and pulleys spin freely. Spindles and pulleys should make little to no noise when turning.Dont mow over coarse mulch or large sticks. Had a customer that went through 3 belts in one season. The third time it was obvious as to cause because a 1/2 inch diameter stick was neatly stuck in the clutch pulley. It had cut the belt in two.Remove all sticks and branches larger than a pencil prior to mowing.

I have a CCR 3650 Snow Blower

Try the spring on the governor. sounds like it's not hooked up, or extremely week. I rebuild and sell these all winter. I've had it happen a few times. Runs really good! but, will ruin the motor running over speed like that. There are adjustments- some have the spring on a long flange of metal so it can be bent backwards to add tension- it doesn't take much! If the motor starts to rev up and down and up and down, add a hair more tension. It there is too much tension it will stall out when you hit heavy snow.
