My guess would be to take it to a local repair shop near you as they may not charge as much. The blinking lights that you are referring to usually mean the power supply has gone bad and power supplies don't run much. This guy thru Ebay has the power supplies for $50 and thats with free shipping. Don't know the guy personally but $50 seems reasonable if you know how to get into your ps3 and take out the old power supply and put the new one in.

Really its up to you. Its not hard taking the ps3 apart. Just taking a few screws out from the bottom and then a few from the top and taking the top cover off and exposing the ps3.

First, from your computer click the Download Link to download the latest PS4 Update. Make sure you don't rename the downloaded file. After download, plug your USB onto you Computer. Open the USB and make a folder inside named PS4 (you need to use Uppercase letters). Inside that folder create another folder named UPDATE. Then, just take the PS4UPDATE.PUP file you downloaded from the provided link and put it inside the UPDATE folder. After that you just connect your USB with your PS4, and then from the Main Screen of your PS4 go to Settings -> System Software Update and just follow the instructions on-screen. PS: Make sure you DO NOT turn off the console or remove the USB from the PS4 while the update is taking place, otherwise the system may be come temporarily or permanently damaged. 1. First shut down the system by flipping the power switch in the back off. 2. Hold down the eject disc button. 3. While still holding down the eject button, flip the power switch to turn back on your PS3. 4. When the green light comes on, wait a few seconds then tap the eject button a couple times. The fan will run on full power and the disc will eject.

This Error code means there is a Network/Router error, try this to see if it corrects the problem, depending of on if you have a wired or wireless connection 1. i had the same problem. just fone sony tell them wats up and they will arrange 2 pick up ur faulty ps3 and replace it there and then!!

This happened to my husbands PS3 also. He put it into another PS3 and reformatted it and then when he got home and put it back into his it asked him to reformat again and this did the trick. It's been working ever since. He called Sony and they wanted him to send back his hard drive and they would either fix or send him a "new" refurbished one for $150. I don't think so!!

The ps3 wifi is very finicky --
While the ps3 scans for a hotspot turn the router off then on so the router aquires the ps3.
Goto settings
Goto network settings
Goto network connection, select enable
Goto Internet connection settings just below internet connection-
Push yes when it says you may be disconnected
Select wired or wireless
For wireless use scan or enter manually
Follow on screen instructions.
Once that is set up return to main menu and go to network near the right
Then once in the internet browser press triangle and goto file and enter the internet address you would like visit.
If all else fail use the ethernet cable to attach it to your laptop. Then run network setup on the laptop and add the ps3.

for mine i tried other fixes and they didn't work. Turns our my router had enabled security but the PS3 had forgotten the password (WEP key).

I turned off the WEP on my router and the PS3 suddenly found its connection.

To say I was getting stressed is an understatement, Sony should put something on their website, it seems like a really commonm problem to which people have no clear route to solution.

this has happen to me!! and i end up buying another ps3 and it end up the same!!! i fix both of them!!! and about over 200 consols with the same problem!!! this is what u do! you connect your control direct to your ps3. and then you hold the power button for 5 seconds!! the system will turn on!!!remove your finger for a second and hold the power button till you hear 2beeps then remove your finger and the system will shut off!! this is a manuel reset!!! the system will turn back on!! asking u to connect your controller!! you already have it connected. then it will give you about 6 options!! you will choose RESTORE FILES!!! your system will check for your system defaults!! then it will tell you that you have corrupted files!! and proceed with it!!! it will fix if you have problems with your controls,if it doesnt play games,blue ray,if it freeze, system shutting off,icon problems,only playing sertting games or movies!!! if you have problems or any question feel free to ask!! i know is fustrating!!!

download limewire and go to were it says search put mp4 movies and download what ever you like but its going to take like to hours to download a movies when its finished downloading download it in the psp video folder that it i hope it works

Sounds like a hardware issue with the PS4 just like the first gen Xbox 360's Red Ring of Death my best suggestion is call SONY and see of it is still under warranty or if it is an issue they are aware of and will fix or replace your system for free like Microsoft did.

go under system setting-->select sound settings-->select audio output settings -->hit x on hdmi-->hit x on automatic-->hit x to enter. This solved the issue for us :)

heh heh... Okay, Make sure you're downloading them into the music folder on your memory stick. (You may have to create a folder that says "Music". The instructions manual tells you everything.)

Another problem is: This is a pic of the instructions manual. It shows that you cannot save music within a folder inside another folder. When the PSP tries to read music, it searches in the "Music" folder. If there is another folder within the "Music" folder with music in it, the PSP can play it. But, if there is a folder in another folder, the PSP cannot find it and says there is no music. (That is really hard to explain!) Look at the picture and you'll get it. ^-^; If there are any questions you want to ask, please do!

Sony are either doing a maintenence update or trying to fix the latest update bug that is stopping people from logging on. It will be fixed so give it some time and try again later.

PS3 piggy or gen2 slim.
