Well.. if you have windows xp.. then you can calibrate your controller fairly easily.
Go here:
Control panel:Printers and Other Hardware:Game Controllers:(your controller should be in the list):Advanced:Calibrate
This should solve your problem ;)
Use of AV8R-01 with Google Maps flight simulator
My blackwidow joystick would not work in google earth, the sim would just crash. I tried a surgestion to remove the blackwidow software and just run it with the ms hid driver. It now works fine, even the throtle and rudder controls.
I have new Saitek Aviator
Unfortunately for the moment Saitek does not have any drivers for Mac.
They say they are under development and they are expecting them somewhere this year...
Even so, the most basic functions should work by plug and play since this joystick is a DirectX device.

I have changed my operating
The driver for Windows 7 can be downloaded from here:
http://saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php
From the second drop-down menu to the right select Joysticks then select AV8R and then select your operating system.
You'll have 2 buttons with the driver and software. Click on each and save the driver to your computer then install them(driver first).

How to you find the Joystick settings
Assuming you are using Windows XP, its in Control Panel.. Look for it by clicking START -> Control Panel -> Game Controllers. The detected device is listed. Click on the device and click on Properties to configure the settings. Good luck!
