That truck should have no points. It should have electronic ignition. Sounds like bad wires or bad coil(s).

cigarette lighter is fuse #30 in the engine compartment. It is located to the right as you face the engine compartment. It is a 15 amp fuse.

The rear side door actuator control modules monitor the power sliding door positions at all times. Whenever the battery positive voltage supply to a rear side door actuator control module has been removed or the on-board diagnostics have been activated the power sliding door system(s) must be re-initialized. Re-initialize the right or left power sliding door systems using the following steps:

1. Turn the ON/OFF switch for the power sliding door system to be re-initialized to the OFF position.
2. Manually open the power sliding door completely.
3. Manually close and latch the power sliding door.
4. Turn the power sliding door ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
5. Open the power sliding door completely using the B-pillar or overhead console OPEN/CLOSE switch.

If you follow the steering column down the sw. is a half moon shaped sw inside attached to the column. Remove the wiring clip and the two screws and put on the new sw. be sure the truck is in park or set the new sw. to the position it is in now. Better to have it in park.

Sounds like the computer is in limp home mode.I realize you can not hook a scanner up on a 95 but you can use a paper clip to read the blinking code on the engine light. This get hard to explain here but you tube will have a video on how to read it.

Some times if the steering wheel is not in the right position you can have this problem. Giggle the steering wheel back and forth while turning the key to off.

Check the secondary coil in the dist to ensure one of the wires going to the module in the dist. Is not loose, grounded or broken.

each tank has its own fuel pump and level indicator if neither is working i dont think both would quit at the same time there should be a switch to change from one tank to the other this switch is probably malfunctioning have it checked.

under the cup holder there is a part that looks like a flat blade screwdriver would fit in , get a screwdriver and twist counter clockwise and remove this part and the cupholder should slide out.

You may have a spark problem. Hook up a remote spark tester and locate it where you can watch it . Watch to see if there is a lack of spark when the engine dies. Also hook up a remote fuel pressure tester and see what your fuel pressure is when the engine dies. If you lose spare I would look at the module in the distributor as the problem. If it fuel, it could be a weak pump or a restricted fuel line. Also , find someone with a scanner and have him read the codes. It could be that simple.

Check for a shorted wire that goes to the throttle body injectors. They get caught under the air cleaner and short out.
