Maybe your car has the obd2 code problem, you can use a scan tool to test it, or you can take it to the auto repair shop, they will repair it.
Don't think you understand the technology that has
been on all vehicles for 30 years, that being OBD1
starting in 1980 & the current OBD2 96 thru 2011
Any time you get any check lights etc on your dash your
vehicle has detected a problem
Don't you find that the light is not normal & wouldn't
you want to know why
Read your owners manual
Your car has a problem that you need to first check for
codes,have diagnosed & then repaired
Those are the 3 steps you will be taking at least once
a year for the rest of your life & it will be expensive, if you
don't learn the technology & work on your on car
You have a malfunction in the SRS System (air bag)
& they may even be turned off in case you needed them
You NEVER need a dealer for ANY repairs, but you do
need to go to a local repair shop within a couple of days
ANYTIME you get ANY check lamp,MIL Lamp,Wrench,
etc on your dash.
A car is not like Windows 7 at all
It does not self diagnose & clearing the lights & codes only
prevent further diagnoses
There are NO computers used by your mechanic to do anything
ALL Scan Tools etc are data processors
Your car has no computer as you know them
There are also no tune-ups for 30 years, that is an
industry term for spark plugs & mostly a waste of
your money on other items
