Drive motor fault asko w640 - serviceman replaced brushes and hose - still had fault at the end of the 1st wash of the day - ie wash would almost finish. Cost at this stage was $250 so decided to take machine apart. Phoned asko australia for assistance and was told that I should have used an asko qualified serviceman - closest 110 klm away - most unhelpful - removed motor and noticed dirty, rough burnished commutator - removed new bushes and polished commutator on lathe - 1200 wet and dry and some wd40 - re fitted bushes and motor and now have a happy machine!
Asko w660 quattro - wash motor fault indicator error comes on every few washes, goes off when turn power off and then machine operates normally. brushes to motor are about half worn. any suggestions.
You are experiencing the same problem we have just gone through. Your motor (induction type) is damaged and is non-repairable and must be replaced. Get it done straight away otherwise you risk blowing up the ECU unit that allows and controls your spin speeds upto 1400rpm. They cost $300 each plus labour to fix. If both occur forget the repair, ditch the machine and buy another brand. You also probably have a small water leak above the motor which generally causes the motor fault to start with and generally be repaired with Silicone sealant.
