To turn off hourly chime on the times wr 30m, simply press (in any mode, i just use the regular clock mode) the start/stop button (top right hand button) once (for about half a second).
if you don't hear anything, you've turned off the hourly chime!  if you hear two short beeps, you've turned on the hourly chime.    turning the chime off/on is cyclic.  if you press once and hear nothing, it's off.  if you press again, you'll hear two beeps and the hourly chime is now on.    a lot of times that button hits my wrist (i wear it on my left hand) by accident, and that's how the chime turns on and off.  i hope this helps someone.

Try holding in the bottom right button (Lap/Reset) and then the top right button (Start/Stop) should toggle the alarm on and off. That worked with mine (WR30M with no further description available) just now so good luck!

How to remove stem on timex indiglo WR 30M ?

Insane as it seems, apparently the Indiglo wr30m watch stem does NOT have either a set screw or a release button. No vice needed though, just good fingernails. Pull it out one click to the 'set time' position and pull it out some more and it comes out.

How to change battery for Timex Indiglo WR 30M

I second the vice advice...the only thing that worked was to put it in a vice and crank it one more crank then you think is possible. You will hear a little "pop" when it snaps into place. It was the only thing that worked!
