Don't know the Model #
The following should solve your problem if you have a comcast digital cable box and possibly for others.
Hey, it's worth a shot!
Turn the TV Power on and cable box power off.
Press the MENU button on the front of the cable box.
Scroll down to the caption item on the menu and toggle it to "disabled"
Press the menu button again to close.
Hope this helps!
Thank you D little !! Change your name to D Big Man !!

Nope your gonnas need to get a remote that operates the menu. Theres an original thats available from 1800 remotes or http://www.remotes.com for 50 bucks. Thats like 25 less then the one from phillips! Goord Luck
1.Press the CC button on the remote to display the current Closed Caption setting.
2.Press the CC button repeatedly to choose from the four Closed Caption options (CC
Off, CC1, CC2, CC Mute). select CC off.
3.When finished, press the STATUS /EXIT button to remove the menu from the TV

D Little was 100% correct. My cable company said (seven different peoople) it was MY TV. IT WAS THEIR box that had the problem.
Thank you sooooooo much D Little.
