It's a stabilizer problem, not a CCD problem, a well known problem for many Sony cameras. The stabilizer or even the whole lens unit has to be replace. You can find some used lens for T300 easily on eBay, but you can't be sure this problem won't happen again in a day, week, month or a year. I would suggest replacing the lens at the Sony service center, but if it's expensive there - look for another camera.

There is no other solution. This is a common problem with Sony cameras. They were actually quietly fixing some of them for free for awhile. You should complain loudly.

Vibrations begin when turned on

Sony has discovered that some DSC-T20 and T300 Cyber-shot cameras sold in the United States may experience an issue with abnormal internal vibration and an inability to properly focus and take pictures. For cameras affected by this issue, Sony will provide free repair until July 17, 2011. In certain units, the lens cannot adjust properly due to a mechanical failure in the lens mechanism. When the automatic features of the camera attempt to adjust the lens, the camera body vibrates, preventing it from properly focusing or taking pictures.
if you have any problem regarding this issue post a comment information about the problem.we will glad to assist you

good luck

Turns itself off every time I try to take a photo

I had a similar problem with my Cyber-shot S600. It just turned off every time I tried to take a photo. I bought a Sony recharger + batteries and it fixed the problem. Camera works fine and I'm impressed with the how long the batteries last between charges.

Blue haze/blue dots on hd tv

You likely have a bad optical block. Sony was supplying the optical block as a warranty repair until June of this year, but that warranty has expired.

Vibration when using the Sony Cyber-Shot dsc-t20

Well, it seems that this is either a manufacturing defect or a defective/sub-standard part being used in the product. It would do Sony well to address this problem immediately so that all of us Sony lovers would continue to believe in their products. If this can be solved via a firmware upgrade then I hope Sony can guide us through it.
