I can help you with this. What is your model nubmer? It should be located under the lid towards the rear. Once you get me this, I can type you up some step by step directions or how to get it open.

To open the top of the washer, you must first open the console. Where the bottom of your console meets the top of your washer, you should find a screw on both the right and left hand sides. After removing these screws, pull the bottom of the console to you then rotate it up. Where the back (dull silver) panel meets the top, you should see two brass colored clips. The trick to getting these off, is sticking either a screw driver or pair of needle nose pliersdown where the clip goes into the top. While simultaniously pushing down, push the top of the tool towards the rear of the machine. Once you have the clips off, the front, sides and top will all come off as one assembly(your cabinet). Slowly start to pull the cabinet towards you grasping it at the top. You will have a couple of the small black hoses at the top still connected. Since it is difficult to describe, as you are pulling the top of the cabinet towards you, look for the hoses that start to get tight. A pair of pliers or channel locks will squeeze the clamps enough to allow you to get the hoses off. After you have these disconnected, slide the cabinet slightly forwar and you'll be able to lift it out of the way. A common source of leakage on these is one of the black hoses that goes down to the tub. If it pops off, you will get water on the floor nearly every cycle. Check your dispensers to make sure they are not plugged and causeing an overflow leak. he remaining clprits are your pump (white plastic on the bottom center, the hoses going to it and possibly the tub itself. Good luck and message me back if you need anything else.

I have a Kitchenaid washer model # KAWS750L, leaking at bottom

The most common leak in a KitchenAid washer is from the water pump. The easiest way to see is slightly tilt it up with a small load. If there are many clothes and water in the tub it will be to heavy. Get a light, and tilt the washer up a few inches. Prop it up with something even. Now, lay on the floor and as the washer is running watch for the water leak. The pump is at the front of the washer, directly in the middle. so it's only about 1-2 inches behind the front of the cabinet. I would be very surprised if it was anything but the pump.

The pump you will need is one of two. I've looked up your model number. After the KAWS750L there is either a Q or a T followed by a number. That letter and number make the difference. This pump can be bought for as low as $40 up to $70. It depends on the pump, and where you buy it from :)

Our clothes washer is leaking and we're trying to open the bottom

OK, to do anything with your unit you MUST get a Service Manual. Inside this is everything you need to overhaul and repair your unit. Simply Google, The-Name-and-Model-of-your-Washer + Service manual download. (enter) Now find that file, usually in PDF, Adobe Reader format. Now use that to troubleshoot and repair. This is what the service engineers use to repair these units.

Kitchenaid topload washer about 3 yrs old, started leaking from bottom, front. Checked hoses at faucet and washer, all tight no leaks there. Seem to be coming from under the front lower lip of washer.

it's the pump. release the control panel and flip back on hinges. pop the retainer clips and unplug the lid switch harness on top. pull entire white part of cabinet back and up..pump is front center.

How to open washer to check for leaks

the two screws are on the control panel, one on each end. some are on the front and some are on the back. they hold the control panel to the case.
after you take those out then flip back the control panel (it has two hinges on the back so it wont fall).
then you will see the two metal clips, use a screwdriver to release the pressure and take them off.  you will immediately be able to remove the entire case from the front by tilting it back toward you.
or you can just lay the machine down on its side and look under it.
if the leak is coming from the front center then it is the water pump.

How to Open up a Kenmore Elite Calypso Wash Motion Washer

If this is a Calypso, there are retaining clips holding the top down in the front of the washer. You will need to look along the seam where the top meets the front panel the washer about 2 inches in from each side. Using a putty knife, insert into the seam and push straight in while lifting on the top. The retaining clips will release and the top lifts up. It may take a second set of hands to make this a little easier. When you get the top lifted up, there will be a couple of screws holding the front panel in place. Remove them and you have access to the interior of the washer. If this is not a Calypso, please post back so I can give you correct advice. I hope this helps you.
