Sony dsc-w55 fell and the lens is stuck

My Sony DSC-W55 fell and the lens is stuck and is a black screen when i try to take pictures. I can see all the pictures on my memory card but i just cant take any pictures. The lens is sticking out about a centimeter and it keeps telling me "Turn the power off and on again". i tried to push it in and pull it out but nothing's working? same problem. lens sticks out and won't reset.

The lens resumed full travel but the camera still says accessing and then turn off and on and never starts up and works. The lens fully extends and closes though.

Use bit more force to push or pull the lens as lens has been damaged. If applying bit more force lens goes to working, u saved $$$ otherwise, new lens option is always available at Sony repair shops.

Mystery cameras are always a problem, but this looks like the Sony camera question I just answered a few minutes ago.

You need to connect it to a computer and then you can take off everything that is on the camera and take the camera to a Sony Service Centre for repair. Download the Software and Drivers.

My Sony cybershot dsc-w55 won't take pictures! I

Your lens is stuck due to either being banged or bumped or there is dirt/grit inside the lens gears. The lens needs to be replaced, but buying a brand new lens is out of the question. Sony will charge $125 just for the lens assembly, it's crazy.

A refurb lens can be installed for about $75 including return shipping. You should check the replacement cost of a used camera and see which is cheaper in the long run.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC- W55 takes blurry pictures

Hi!
The focus doesn't move as it should - it was stuck before you tapped it. Could be sand or something in it. I'm afraid you will have to give it away for a repair. You can contact your local Sony service center, but if they ask too much, I can offer you a very good price. My e-mail is [email protected]
