Display Condition LE = Motor Error

Possible Cause For Error Occurrence:

Wiring connection is OK?
The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked.
The rotor of Washing Motor is locked.
The Blade is locked.

Remedy:

Check the wiring connection.
Replace the cause of restriction.
Replace the Washing Motor.
Replace the PCB.

Try the following steps:

Unplug the washing machine if you see an LE error on the two-digit display electronic readout. This error indicates a miscommunication between the control panel and wash motor.

Press and hold the "Start/Pause" button on the front panel for five seconds.

Plug the LG dishwasher back in.

Run a cycle. The LE code will clear.

My LG washer is flashing LE and won't contiue the

First try unplugging the machine for a few minutes and then retry a cycle. If you still get the LE error:

The Hall sensor (part number 6501KW2001A) has failed. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty (in the US). Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it might rate a 4. This should be a Fix-Ya for your machine, and at basically no cost!
In the US, find a service provider using your zip code at http://us.lgservice.com/index_b2c.jsp or call LG at 800-243-0000

My LG washing machine will not run through washing cycle

Locked motor error (LE)

* The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the motor harness is not connected to the connector (3-pin, female, white) of stator assembly
* The electrical contact between the connectores, (3-pin, male, white) in the motor harness and 4-pin, female, white connector in the main PWB assembly is bad or unstable. Or the motor harness between the sator assembly and main PWB assembly is cut (open circuit).
* The hall sensor is out of order/defective.

***. If the hall sensor is defective, replace the entire motor.

LE Code on control panel

Press "end of cycle". Plug off the wall. Code can be an indication of several issues. The most common cause is over-sudsing in the machine. Overloading the wash with too much laundry may also cause the LE error code. Lastly, a breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause that error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire, see that all wires are tightened..........
