Look at the power socket. It should be the same as the one on the back of the computer.

i also have a 19" westinghouse monitor the screen on mine goes black i just turn the monitor of then back on the problem is it's overheating and from what i understand it's caused by faulty or worn capacitors the ones that are bad are vented on top so it's easy to tell the bad ones. you can see what they look like on line!

There are a bunch of them for sale on ebay.

You could also use a standard HP 19v 3.5 laptop charger if you happen to have one ;)

Usually monitor cables are standard, and are the same as your PC. You may want to try the one from your PC see if that works fine, then you know exactly what to get.

Hope this helps. You are right this far from a typical power supply cord. Most just need to the cord with a 3 hole female end that plugs straight in the monitor.

See article written by sillybit (me) for the Westinghouse 19v5. My 20v5 had bad caps in the power supply - it did the exact same thing as yours. $8 worth of parts from radioshack and an hour or two is all mine needed.

Monitor power cords are an industry standard, you can pick one up at your local electronics store such as radioshack,bestbuy,circuit city.
