Cub Cadet LT1042 PTO keeps shutting off after mowing several feet, will turn right back on but keeps shutting off

I have a Cub Cadet 1605 and it does the same exact thing. Try the PTO switch on the dash. I replaced mine and it works fine. Hope this helps.

Pto keeps shutting off after several feet

This is either the clutch relay, or the clutch is out of adjustment

1872 cub cadet. Pto keeps turning off. Will mow a few minutes then blades shut off

Check your battery posts and terminals, they may be corroded, or your battery may be dying.

Craftsman 21hp, 48" lawn tractor, electric start, automatic trans

The alternator is built into the starter. Check with a volt meter to see if you have at least +13v while mower engine is running. Could be a bad battery.

Can I use leaded gas or only unleaded

check with your owners manual. But as a former lawn professional, I only used Premium fuel in my Scag zero mowers. You should however use ethonal free fuel if you don't run at least a tank a month through it or you can buy Marvel Mystery Oil as a fuel additive to help keep your motor clean and running smooth. I use Marvel Mystery Oil in the boat, mowers, and 4 wheelers. Works great. Ethonal free gas is hard to track down so this is a great alternative.
