So you dropped your blackberry in the pool...All is not lost...Hopefully.
1. Resist the urge to try and power it up, this is when damage can occur. 2. Immediately pull the battery our and dont ever think about hooking it to the wall/car charger. 3. Get a can of compressed air (dust off) and blow every nook and cranny until no water droplets can be seen. If its stuck in the screen do your best to get as much as you can. The next step will take care of the rest. Take off any covers and try to get it as dry as possible. 4. Put the phone in an airtight container filled with dry white rice (Uncle Bens Uncooked White is good enough). 5. Let the phone sit for a full day (24hr minimum). It is imperative to wait, and the longer you can resist the better of chance you may have. The more water logged the phone the more you should wait. If you open the container and it is at all damp, put in a new bowl of dry rice and wait another two days because it is water logged. 6. Pull the phone out of the rice and blow it all out with compressed air, dust is an enemy, but less lethal then the water. 7. Plug in the battery, but not the charger. 8. If all turns on then I'd still wait a day to put it on the charger just in case its a little damp (dont want the AC to short something).
I am on call and have dunked my blackberry 8330 more times than I care to remember this has saved it about 50% of the time.
What ever you do dont dunk it is rubbing alcohol or try and dry it with a hair dryer. Those methods can work on lesser electronics, but dissolve the fine circuitry on our cellphones.
The water drop is a condensation warning- the camera has sensed damp in the works. Damp will cause the tape to stick and get tangled in the transport mechanism, so you need to dry the camera (and tapes) out thoroughly before proceeding. Leave them in a warmish dry place for a day or so- longer if needed.
If you have too much dampness, and or mold inside the set on the circuit boards, most likely there is damage.
The cost of servicing may be too expensive in consideration of the value of the set.

have you checked the dryer vent, wall vent lint trap for cloggs,if clogged it will hold the damp hot air in the dryer much longer and add to your drying time-mike
