I have a new Sony DSC-WX1 which I have used a few times it has developed a fault where it trys to turn on but the lens goes in and out a few times and then a message comes on screen saying turn the power off and on again! I recharged the battery but this has not solved the problem. Is this a known fault? Thanks for any help.

Normal batteries it's not working for me! After i replace standard alkalines with rechargeable NiMH batteries Sony and Varta 2700 Ni-MH it's was working! My camera it's turn on every time!
Press the MENU button to display the menu. Use down to select the toolbox, then press O (that's the center button on the multiselector). Use the cursor keys to select the wrench and hammer, then press O. Select the second item on that menu--that should be "Language". One of the choices should say "English" in English. Select that one and press O.

I think ya camea has developed a hardware fault.. maybe time for the camera Shop fixit man ... I found a manual maybe that'll B some help?
