What can I do to stop pain in neck and/or shoulder blades and between shoulder blades?

Finding good seating is tough.
Better models will have more adjustments on the seats but if you search you may be able to find a mint low mileage 1996 Honda which is like new and then you will have a seat you know works for you.
Otherwise.....you could take your seat with you.
Put it into the newer vehicle.

I have a 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1600 with 35,000 Kms or 21,800 miles. It is stored im my heated garage for the winter. I usually start it up once or twice a week. I tried to put it into gear and it...

Instructions

    • 1

Unscrew the passenger seat\'s mounting bolt, positioned on
the rear of the seat, using a socket wrench and a 10 mm socket. Lift the
passenger seat up and away from the rider\'s seat.

    • 2

Flip the passenger seat upside down and place it on a clean
work area. Pry out the seat cover\'s staples from the bottom of the seat
pan with a small pry bar or staple puller. Pull off the vinyl cover and
remove the foam from the seat pan.

    • 3

Flip the seat pan over. Place the Utopia back rest bar over
the top of the seat pan, following the contours of seat pan. Center the
bar in the middle of the pan, then mark the location of the bar\'s
mounting holes on the seat pan with a permanent marker. Remove the back
      rest bar.

    • 4

Drill two holes into the seat pan at the marked locations,
using an electric drill and a 9/32-inch drill bit. Place the back rest
bar onto the seat pan. Screw the kit\'s bolts and lock washers through
the bottom of the pan and into the back rest bar. Tighten the bolts with
a 10 mm socket and a socket wrench.

    • 5

Lay the seat\'s foam next to the seat pan. Mark the
approximate location of the back rest bar\'s protruding neck at the front
of the seat onto the foam with a permanent marker. Cut a slit into the
foam at the marked area, using a sharp knife. Place the foam over the
seat pan and push the bar\'s neck through the foam\'s newly cut slit.

    • 6

Place the vinyl cover over the seat foam and pan. Pull the
cover tight around the sides of the seat and staple it into place, using
a heavy-duty staple gun. Cut a slit into the seat cover with a razor to
allow the back rest bar\'s neck to extend outward. Remove the paper
backing from the plastic boot included with the back rest kit. Slide the
boot over the bar\'s neck and hold it firmly in place for 30 seconds.

    • 7

Reinstall the passenger seat on the motorcycle and tighten
its bolt with a 10 mm socket. Place the back rest over the bar\'s neck on
the passenger seat. Slip a bolt through the backrest\'s mounting holes
and into the tube on the bar\'s neck. Loosely screw a nut onto the end of
the bolt. Adjust the angle of the back rest, then tighten the bolt and
nut using a 10 mm socket and a 10 mm wrench.

I have alot of Case pocket knives and the blades on some are starting to become loose and have too much wiggle when blade is out. How can i fix this

Tony:

I have tapped the bolster pivot pin with a small hammer to tighten loose knife blades, but you have to be careful not to scar the knife or smack the bolster pin too hard or the blade will seize and be hard to open or close. If the pin has been necked by the blade (worn in the middle where the blade contacts the pivot pin, you'll have to replace the pin.

My surgical Neurologist prescribed an ORT 13100M my use in recovery of fractured vertibre in my neck. A 2 1/2 by 10 inch expandable cloth sleeve came packed in the box with the cervical collar. How is...

Hello Les, If you notice the shape of your collar takes on the anatomical contours of your neck when wearing it. The 2 1/2 x 10 inch sleeve that came in the box is a extra synthetic covering to be used over the foam collars, most likely by seperating the end of the cloth and sliding the collar into it. It works as a barrier between the skin of your neck and the actually foam collar for absorption of sweat and dirt. This will keep the actually collar clean and can be taken of and washed periodically.

Can the headrest for a 2010 ford expedition be replaced with an aftermarket so not to have that angle?

I know five (5) people who purchased the 2009 or 2010 Expedition. All 100% of them have complaints of the headrest hurting their neck. I know folks that won't even drive their new 2010 Expedition because it hurts their necks, and the dealer won't take it back! If enough people tell ford about the problem, erhaps Ford will post a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) to tell dealers how to fix the problem. It is possible to build safe headrests that do not hurt necks during normal driving: just look at the competition. The headrest is not the right equipment to sacrifice comfort. Neck pain causes distraction and is a safety issue. Ford should be as concerned about liability from wrecks caused by headrest pian distractions as they are about the rear impact safety. Complain to Ford!

Massaging neck rest question

The massaging neck rests usually offers you two relaxation therapies: variable speed vibration massage to customize massage intensity and heat. Some of this devices even have a "comforting sounds" option (which makes relaxing sounds). Besides that most of the massaging neck rests offers the same featurs. They wrap comfortably around your neck and shoulders, supporting your head in a comfortable position (Usually - memory-foam filling and a soft fabric cover). Hand-held control adjusts the vibrations to your specific comfort level, without having to stop the massage. Includes plug-in AC adapter, or you can use four AA batteries

Replacing boot struts

Hi GB52. Just done this myself, should take 15 minutes perside max. 1/ remove rear seat cushion by bumping the centre back and up, lower the back rests down. 2/ Unscrew the striker plate from the seat side bolster and the bolt at the lower edge of the bolster Removing the bolster takes a bit of fiddling. 3/ use a flat-head screwdriver to release the strut spring clips - use the new ones as a guide. 4/ remove the old strut and fit the new one. reinstall the bolster, bolt and strike plate. note; when replacing the rear seat cushion, ensure the seat belts are fed through first and check that the seat retaining clips properly engage the floor panel brackets.

Hope this helps,

Davo
