I have a ps3 slim, 2wks old. tried playin fifa 10, 2players. works til kick off, then nothing..... its not the game, tried another fifa 10 game.

i paly first mach in fifa street world tour on ps3 slim 3.55 .... when i play secon game he stop...... please help me...

The PlayStation Network is down at the moment. This started 2 day ago. Sony Entertainment is working on this. The code is from Sony and nothing to do with you system. No update yet from SONY when the problem will be fixed but they're doing their best to fix this ASAP.

hello try a fan test to see if the fans are working properly , take the power lead out of the back then reinsert the lead in while doing this press and hold the eject button you should hear the fans boot up. this may blow all the dust out, also try an update on the console good luck

It's eiyther one of two problems:

The first is that FIFA 11 is screwed up due to an EA Sports programming glitch within the game - (see http://www.community.eu.playstation.com/t5/Technical-Help/FIFA-11-Error-80010514/m-p/11614173))

OR

The second is that your PS3 is dying and the laser won't read discs. Which gets progressively worse, or so i've read. - (see http://www.ps3blog.co.za/2008/04/10/ps3-error-80010514-explained/)

I'm getting the same error but my PS3 isn't yet 12 months old, so is going back to the store.

P*ssed that I can't play the new FIFA though!!!!

Follow these troubleshooting steps to sort out the problem.

Does this happen with every game or just one particular game?

If it's not loading, then its your laser and it would have to be replaced more than likely.


Did anyone bump the the console or move it while it was spinning? These are the main causes for lasers going bad.

Check the vents on you ps3. If those are blocked or even too close to a wall or something like that, the game will freeze.

try to test another Fifa street and see if the problem persists...

are you loading umd discs or umd iso´s???

if it´s an iso try to change it...

its a problem with the latest download update. sorry to say but its a job for sony as long as its still under warranty. just phone them up explain the probs your having and they will send you a new (normally reconditioned) unit out. sony's replacement service is very good.
