Probably its similar to the wiring on page 31 of this manual (pdf page 28) of this manual, reference NGK-7000HE: http://www.electricgeneratorsdirect.com/manuals/NGK%20Generator%20Honda%20engine.pdf

The engine starts but it doesn't generate electricity

The engine turns over the generator. We often think of a generator as one thing, but actually it is made of two parts. A motor to to supply mechanical power and the generator (a devices with electrical coils and magnets) that if turned will create electrical energy.
Since the engine is turning over, either the engine shaft that spins the generator is broken or a connector coupling is broken, or more likely the the generator portion of your generator is broken inside. Internal wires could be burned up or contact brushes are worn out. It sounds like your generator side is defunct. For inexpensive home emergency generators, it is usually cheaper to buy another generator rather than try to repair the generator you have.

Having trouble getting my BlackMax 7000 watt trifuel generator started on Propane.

Clean off the fuel connect points. Probably just not a clean line from sitting so long since last use.

Too much voltage

A) do you have the right generator, 120V or 120/240V model. Is it wired correctly. Has it ever worked correctly.

The voltage regulator is the main control board. It sounds like in correct wiring/model

I purchased a 7000W Westinghouse Portable Generator to back feed my circuit breaker box. The cable is rated to 30amps. Do I use a 30 amp or a 40 amp circuit breaker? Thanks, Mike

1) Match wire and breaker:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Color-codewire.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/See-inside-main-breaker-box.html

2) 7000 watts divided by 240 volts = 29.1 amps.
30 amp breaker x 80% safe maximum = 24 amps.
This means you should use 8 gauge wire and 40 amp double pole breaker for 240volt

3) 7000 watts divided by 120 volt = 58.3 amps.
60 amp breaker x 80% safe maximum = 48 amps.
So use 70 amp breaker and #4 wire.

Want to add 240volt outlet to generator

You CANNOT do this, USA 240V is derived from a poly phase scenario, IE 120V line to neautral and 240V line to line, UK 240V is derived from 1 line to neutral it will not work unless you power a transformer

Ground the generated it's self. I had a similar problem after a storm once. First on the generater itself find a flat peice on the frame say by the motor. Sand in down to mettal. Put a self tapper screw in. Now get a 5' to 6' peice of 10 gauge bear copper wire. Attache it to the generator and shove the rest into the ground. Now it's grounded and It took care power surges when I did it. Hopefully this will help you.

Where can I find an owners manual for a Black Max 8125/ Honda GX390 OHV generator? I searched Honda's site but not there, no black max site. My lawn guy pulled a wire off and I need to see where it is...

low oil sensor will not cause the motor not starting.
most likely is th ground wire.
you can try to attach that wire to any surface and try to start it. of it start, then you have to dis-assemble the head and find out where the wire should be attached.
if not, the wire is attached to a hot side. either way you have to dis-assemble the head.

here is the site for the manual.

Coleman 7000w gen. I have 120 on only one side of my 240 plug. I disconnected wire assembly from control box.. Could get 120 out of various combinations of the 4 wires but never 240. Should I be able to?...

Hi,
At the wire assembly there should be 2 white and 2 black wires, a white and a black are the ends of one 110v winding. With the 2 white wires connected together you should get 240 from the black wires. This sounds like it is a problem with one of the circuit breakers in the 240v outlet in the control box, check them with an ohm meter.

Regards,
Carl
