You sure can. You just need to resent the router to default settings including username/password, and reconfigure it all over. Further instruction can be provided if you tell us the model of the router, and the type of Internet Service.
You will have to reconfigure the printer with the router and then reconfigure the PC. All routers don't have the IP address range. That might be the reason why it isnt working after changing the router. Also, if you were using the printer wirelessly, the SSID (network name) and the wireless security needs to be reconfigured to match your new router. The simplest way to achieve this would be to connect the printer hard wired to the router; uninstall the printer drivers completely from the PC; and run the setup disk again. The setup will walk you through the whole process.
Please get in touch if you need further clarifications.
If need to reconfigure router do reset first. Turn on you router then look for reset button from the back of your router press it until all lights will blink.
If you have the setup CD you can just run it to your computer and let it reconfigure the router for you, but if you don't have the setup CD you need to manually configure the router by accessing its IP address using the computer that is wired directly to the router....
Yes after you reset the router you will need to reconfigure it back and for the ISP settings you can just call your ISP and get the needed infor, ation to reconfigure the router to work with your ISP.
I seriously can't stand those motorola routers specially since they have to reboot themselves after every change.
Unplug the power from the router, hold the reset button in and plug the power back. Keep holding the reset button for 30 seconds. That should restore it back to factory settings. Plug one machine to the router and try to access the admin console. if memory serves me correctly, the user name is admin and password is motorola.
