My TI-84 Plus won't graph two functions at once. Only one equal sign highlights. My math teacher doesn't even know what to do and I really need two functions to show on one graph.

Hello,
Turn the satistical plots OFF
Press [2nd][Y=] (STATPLOT). Select or enter 4: to execute the command [PlotsOff] [ENTER]

Clear the lists (statistical lists)
Press [2nd][0] (Catalog]. Press [PGRM] C. The cursor jumps to the first command in catalog that starts with C (The greek letters in names do not matter). Scroll down a bit to reach the command [ClrAllLists]. Select it and press [ENTER].

Try your graphs again.
If you still have problems, just reset the RAM:
Press [2nd][+] (MEM). Press 7 to select [Reset] then [1:All Ram][2:Reset]. Press [Clear] to erase the Ram Cleard message.

Now you should be able to draw the graphs.

Hope it helps.

If the Transfrm App for dynamic graphing has been used, it remains in memory and takes over some of the functionalities of the calculator. If Transfrm is the culprit, it must be unloaded from memory.
Press Apps, find Transfrm in the list of Apps, select it and press ENTER. The screen should say Transfrm Running 1: to continue, 2: to un-install, and maybe 3:about. Pressing un-install and accepting all subsequent messages will unload app and restore calculator to its innate behavior.

It was the Transfrm App. Thanks so much!! I have the SAT2 tomorrow, this was a lifesaver.

If you have a TI-84 plus with the transformation graphing app (transfrm) just open that and select uninstall.

Note: I didn't find this on my own, I got this solution off of the TI-84 plus website.

My ti-84 is only graphing one linear equation in the y equal when i put two equations in it only show one

The following should help you draw several graphs.
When you enter a function you should press [ENTER] to validate. At the same time, the cursor moves to the next line. Verify that the = sign on the equation already entered is still highlighted.
If for some reason the = sign of an equation is no longer highlighted, use arrow keys to move cursor on the = sign and press [ENTER].

If only one = sign remains highlighted and all others are not, then in all probability the application Transfrm has been executed before and is still lingering in RAM. When in RAM, it takes over the graphing capabilities of the native OS. This prevents you from drawing more than one graph. You must unload it from memory.
  1. Press the [APPS] key.
  2. Scroll down to the line that shows Transfrm.
  3. Highlight it and press [ENTER].
  4. In following screen you are invited to Uninstall or continue.
  5. Press the number to the left of Uninstall. Validate if need be.
  6. Return to the Y= editor to type in functions to graph.

Hello,
You can draw several graphs on the same screen and use the TRACE function to move the cursor along a curve and read the values of the x-y coordinates. To move cursor along the same curve you use the left and right arrow keys.
But to jump from one curve to another curve, you use the Up and down arrows. Each time you press the Up or down arrow cursor jumps from the current curve being traced to the next one as they were entered in Y= editor.

When i click graph it says "ERR: INVALID DIM" i noticed under "y equal" mode that plot 1 and plot 2 are highlighted. how do i fix this, i need to be able to graph. TI-84 plus calc.

You're probably trying to graph a function that does not involve stat plot features. You can correct this by turning off the stat plot features. Press "2ND" "STAT PLOT" and then select 4:PlotsOff.
