Hi -
You didn't mention the maker or model of the camera (that I saw). However, I would suggest looking at the website of the mfg/maker of the camera (HP, Kodak, Sony, etc). They often have the software available to download for free for your camera, and sometimes, like HP, have even more freebies to extend what you can do with your digital pictures.

good luck!

If you are using Windows operating system on your computer, you should be able to download your pictures without using any additional software.

However, should you want some basic editing and album capabilities you can download Google Picasa (excellent!) or Adobe Photoshop Album - both are free to download and use.

Picasa: http://picasa.google.com/
Photoshop album: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopalbum/starter.html

I HAVE A VIVITAR VIVICAM 3105S DIGITAL CAMERA BUT

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

You can download the drivers here:

However, I am not as of yet certain if these are XP or Vista drivers. My money is on XP though.
