Need to know the gas:oil ratio for weedeater FL1500

If the hoses are connected right and they are in good condition, it could be bad gas,sparkplug or carburetor needs cleaned and/or a rebuild kit. Check the link below for parts:

should be written in the manual and on the lid if not i always run 40 to 1 better safe than sorry to much oil ratio can foul a plug running to light on oil can blow the motor

The best way is to use the pre-packaged fuels. These have an FD rated oil and non-ethanol fuel. They also have a shelf life of 2 years and can be stored in the units. However, to mix your own fuel, pour the oil into your fuel can, fill about half of required fuel, vigorously shake the container and then add remaining fuel.

if you are using stihl oil the ratio is 50:1

pg 4 states that fuel/oil mix is 50;1
2.5 oz per gallon

40:1

this mixture for this weedeater is 40:1 or 40 to 1
