I was trying to take a picture and the camera fell on my keyboard ( I have a laptop) and it was no more than 1 ft in the air when it fell. When I put it on a black screen comes up saying access then Turn the power off and on again. I did this and it does not work, please help I just got it for christmas and it has no warranty I know there must be some solution! Thanks so much for your help!
It sounds like maybe your lens is jammed. You may want to try and fix it yourself. If you want to repair it yourself there is a guy in South Carolina who has lots of parts for all the Sony Cameras. I bought my LCD from him for $39.00 plus shipping and it works perfect. I put it in myself and saved a ton. If you buy the part from him he sends you pictures of him taking the camera apart so that you can repeat the process when you install it. I think his email is [email protected]
is your camera battery is in a normal working condition?and whether your camera len is stucked

also the battery just beeped and I had to turn it off, I noticed people have similar problems but I really don't get some of the answers or steps so please describe well.
P.S. The battery was more than half charged if that might make a difference?
