SOURCE: my western unimount plow is stuck in the up postion. it will go down

If you mean it will not go down it is either your switch in the truck or it can possibly be the valve in the system either not working may just be sticking or it could be that its not getting the switches call to change . This is something you will have to hunt down Good Luck. If you are going to plow best learn now how to deal with al of this as it is rough on a truck

SOURCE: HOW TO GET WESTERN SNOW PLOW TO GO LEFT AND RIGHT

Hydraulic fluid doesn't really freeze. When it does, we wouldn't be around to see it. You need to go threw electrical. Go to there web site and see if you can get a diagram for it. Old systems are fairly easy to go threw. Newer ones have PC boards. Older ones, the stick/switches go bad first. But it always wise to loosen, then tighten the nuts that hold wires first. Corrosion sets in because it isn't used for so long.

Western unimount plow only goes right. No other functions work push button only goes right ?

I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, codes, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything

Western plow motor runs but won't move

97 350 .... 9 ft Western unimount isaramic . New 9 pin . Truck and plow side . New plow motor .new relays and solenoid . . Plug 9 pin in and plug power cord to to . Lights come on. Motor kicks in when I turn on the controller . But stays running and no movement. Test light the plow solenoid . All have power . New fluid. I'm buying a new pump for 200 hoping that's the problem . But I'm stumped on the new motor ...... Old motor had 1 post . Ground to frame . New motor has two posts . Post and neg to motor .... If I switch the ground back to plow frame like the old one. Nothing works but lights stay on . When I reconnect the ground back onto the motor . Lights go out and motor turns on. . Possibly blew relays? It's a new motor . Stumped

Unit downloaded fine ad the did the back up of the drive fine.started the updates and the firmware stopped and then the drive locked up how to access the drive again after reboot nothing shows G: F:

  1. To restore the Western Digital icon to the drive letter for the external drive in "My Computer".
  2. Please go to the Western Digital Download Library and download the WD Logo Icon which has a file name of External Icon.zip when you download it.
  3. Save the file to your desktop and use a file compression software like Winzip to extract the files inside the .zip file to your desktop. When it's unzipped, it will create a folder named "ExternalIcon" on your desktop.
  4. Double-click on the ExternalIcon folder. It will open a Windows Explorer showing a folder named, Autorun, and a file named, Autorun.inf.Double-click on My Computer and it will open.
  5. Double-click on the driver letter that represents the Western Digital drive you want the icon on and it will open.
  6. Highlight the Autorun folder and the Autorun.inf file. Right-click on them, and left-click on Cut when the Menu appears.
  7. Right-click in the open space of the drive that you opened in the new Explorer window, and then left-click on Paste.
  8. Close both Explorer windows, safely remove the external hard drive by using the Safely Remove icon in the system tray, shut down the computer, and unplug the external drive from the computer.
  9. After you reboot into Windows, reconnect the external drive to the computer again, and the Western Digital Icon should now be displayed with the drive letter in My Computer.

If these steps do not correct the problem, you will need to re-format your External Hard Drive ***WARNING*** FORMATTING A HARD DRIVE WILL ERASE, YOU WILL LOSE, ALL DATA

I have a 93 chevy with a western unimount. was plowing and now the motor runs, but wont lift or angle. possibly something sheared off in the pump? fluid is full, and no visible leaks.

If you have a Western Plow ISARMATIC pump, a very common problem is ice forming on your pump pickup screen. This will cause intermittent up/down AND left/right functions. Western recommends the fluid be changed annually and I agree. Here's what it looks like after dirt and moisture form on the pump screen. Thats an ice chunk below the screen that appears to be a hump in the case. Be sure to verify that the pump motor is actually spinning before you suspect the pump screen. b7cfa544-07c8-441e-a344-3d5d97b0b2b0.jpg
