I assume it is inbuilt laptop keyboard. Remove keyboard and reseat the connection. Now check that there aren’t stuck keys - open a word doc or notepad; from the top-left key to the most bottom left, type them out making sure they all produce accurate results on the screen.
If for some reason this passes then....
If this doesn’t work update Bios .
If all the above doesn’t work, replace the keyboard with a new one.

My computer wont go to the sign in page

Could be a hardware or software problem, not enough detail to tell, however..
Before you try anything remove all external devices and see if anything changes. Sometimes external device drivers can prevent KB working.
Is there an icon the bottom left corner of the login screen? If so select Type without a keyboard and an on-screen keyboard should appear. Use the trackpoint/pad (or mouse) to log in.
Now check the keyboard to see which if any keys are working.
Let us know how you get on

I have an asus k55v & sometimes the keyboard locks

Hello.

The computer's keyboard driver is outdated that's why it's acting like that. It will get fixed by updating it. Go to the Device Manager.

Right Click on Computer. Click Manage. Then go to Device Manager.

Right click on the keyboard driver and click on update. You can also use RadarSync if you want to make sure that all drivers are updated so that you won't get any failures in the computer. You can get RadarSync from here http://radarsync.com/driverupdater

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi my keyboard is locked, cannot type in anything

have you tried hitting the "numlock" key? Sometimes it is accidentally hit and that will cause your keyboard to fail to respond to average typing.
In addition there might be a key lock button on your laptop.

My keyboard keeps randomly typing lower case o. what could be the reason?

It could be that you keyboard is clogged with dirt (e.g. bread crumbs- do you eat while sitting at the computer?).

Turn over keyboard and give it several taps. You may be surprised what fall out sometimes!

Also it may be useful to use a clean paint brush to dislodge anything stuck between the keys.

Have you tried a different keyboard ? To find out if something is going on with the computer or keyboard, try another one to see if it works, if you don't have a extra one around, borrow one fron a friend.
