My Samsung dishwasher normal wash light is blinking. I have checked for hose kinks and leaks. I have raised the drainage hose to be higher than the plumbing connection. Still throws code. And will try to drain even with the door open. Unplugging and plugging back in doesn't help. Now what?!

Check if you have any foreign objects stuck at the base of the drain pump. (coins, buttons. etc)

SOURCE: Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher LIghts are blinking....

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.

SOURCE: Dishwater won't stop trying to drain even when door is opened

The drain valve is stuck open. This is electrically operated, but may have some debris inhibiting movement. If you can physically move it (with the power off) this should repair the problem.

SOURCE: Door won't open on Samsung washer

This has happened to me twice. Both times I found the drain pump seized up with
1st time) The right rim from a pair of reading glasses
2nd time) A plastic toothpick
Both times the object was in the discharge port of the pump. You can see this by lifting the check valve with the pump removed. Removing the pump is simple. Unplug the washer. You have to remove the drain line from where its attached to the rear of the machine (one screw) to remove the rear access panel which slides into upper and lower slots. You will see the pump with an inlet and discharge line attached. The lines have simple squeeze clamps. When you remove the lines, you will drain the wash basin so have towels and a squeegie handy. Remove both lines and wait until the basin drains. When it stops draining remove the pumps electrical connector by squeezing the release catch on it while pulling it. The connector can only go on one way. Remove the 3 hold-down bolts on the pump baseplate. Remove the pump and lift open the discharge check valve and you'll find something there I guarantee it. Remove with needle nose pliers and re-assemble in reverse order.
This is actually a good design because the computer protects the pump by sensing a higher than normal current draw when foreign debris gets jammed in it. It will trigger the ND (No Drain) code and sometimes lock the door. Always check this first before you call the expensive repair man. If its not a jammed pump it will most likely be the control panel/processor. Good luck and always clean out pockets before loading the washer to prevent this,

I would check the drain itself. Make sure there aren't any eating utensils getting caught in the drain area.

Lg d/washer about 8yrs old Oe code. Checked grey wire thiery. Cleaned hose filter etc. Was working fine moved house.Whats next.

A drainage problem causes "OE" to be displayed on the digital display panel. The drain hose is likely kinked, clogged or frozen. Inspect the hose and remove kinks. Unclog the hose, if needed. Replace the hose if the problem is not resolved. If the dishwasher still does not drain,

I have a LG LD 2140WH diswasher, it only works for 2 min then give a OE error code. what can be wrong

The possible reasons could be
1. If the drain hose is kinked, water will not drain properly. Kinks will also catch food debris as it passes, clogging drain hose. Straighten any kinks or bends in the hose. Make certain that drain hose does not exceed 10 feet for proper drainage.

2. Check the drain air gap anytime the dishwasher is not draining properly. if the air gap is clogged the unit will not drain. The air gap is not part of the dishwasher. It is located on the sink and attached through the drain hose and garbage disposal. Not all homes are required to have an air gap installed.

3. Food residue or particles can prevent proper draining of dishwasher. Remove bottom rack and check unit for food debris or items that may have fallen into the bottom of the unit. Remove any items or food debris that may be preventing proper drainage.

4. If the unit is not leveled properly, OE Error may occur. Use a level to check sides and top of unit. if the unit is not level, adjust the leveling legs in the front and back (use leveling kit). Also check the mounting brackets. If one is tightened more than the other, it will offset the cabinet.

* Note: To adjust leveling legs on the front, use a 1/4" square drive wrench. Turn clockwise as needed to adjust level. To adjust rear legs, use a standard Phillips head screw driver. On the left side rear, turn the screw counterclockwise to lower the leg and raise the rear. To adjust right side rear, turn the adjusting screw clockwise to lower the leg and raise the rear of dishwasher. Using a level while adjusting the legs will help aid in proper leveling.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Dishwasher not draining properly or not draining at all issues can arise due to different reasons. Usually, these issues are related to kinked hoses, knocked out disposer unit (if connected with the dishwasher drain hose) & clogged drain pump & filter. Also note that dishwashers do not drain completely after a finished cycle and this is normal. Dishwashers are designed to leave some water in the unit to ensure that the heating element doesn’t overheat. If you suddenly begin to experience a large amount of water being retained in your dishwasher, you have a problem. Some of the most common reasons include that the drain hose isn’t working properly, the drain pump isn’t working correctly, or possibly there is a plumbing problem in your home’s drain lines. First check whether the drain is not clogged or blocked and the line is not kinked. Check all the hoses for blockages & also clean the air gap. If still the issue is not resolved then to resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash

-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

If you have checked the drain hose and can’t locate the problem, then it is an issue with the drain pump of the dishwasher. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Figidaire 25 pint dehumidifier

Check the point on the tank (Bucket) where the hose connects to. Make sure there is no obstruction at the outlet of the bucket to the hose connection. Next make sure the hose has no kinks or no loops that may trap air to the drain. If necessary for a long run to the place of drainage raise the dehumidifier to a higher level for better drainage.
