Try changing your battery out on your remote or if you know where the valet switch is on your car turn the ignition forward don't start the car Flip Your Valet switch turn it back on repeat it then turn your ignition forward and turn your volume switch off close all your doors and try your remote again I start with the free stuff first before I go spending money on having something looked at this is free advice if it's free it's for me

SOURCE: Viper remote starter sets off alarm.

Whoever hooked up your system did not hook up the factory alarm disarm and arm wires. Your car thinks it is being stolen as a result of this. You need to get a wire diagram of your car and hook up the proper wires.

SOURCE: problem with my viper alarm system on my 98' odyssey

first, you need to manuslly disarm the alarm. open driver's door, put key in ignition, turn on ignition, an then within 10 seconds push the valet/program button for a couple of seconds. (it is the little spring loaded push button that they installed with your system. probably in the kick panel or under dash

SOURCE: Viper alarm, lights dont flash

Sounds to me like the parking light output wire. They usually have a seperate fuse or the connection is bad. The connection on your vehicle should be behind the pass side kick panel and look for a wire to the white/purple wire and check that with a meter or light to see if it's kick out power. There is a possibility they used the negative trigger through a resister and that would be located behind the headlight switch. That will at least let you know and trace down the problem. Here is a link with that parking light info for yours. Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions.

My viper 5701 when cold will start with headlights staying on then the engine shuts off and when disarming the alarm the doors wont unlock. when the truck warms up then the system works properly.

This sounds like you may be having a problem with the interface module that is used in your truck and maybe not the remote start. Depending on what kind of truck you have and it sounds like you may have a GM truck... there is an interface that is used to control your locks and bypass the security system in the truck. You maybe having an issue with that.

My led light for my alarm stays on and the alarm dont work anymore but the button still locks?unlocks/and starts

Your system is in valet. To take the system out of valet with remote: open any door, press lock, unlock, lock. Now check the LED; it should be off. Close the door and arm the system to check.
OR
Turn the key on then off. Within ten seconds press and release the valet switch. The LED should be off now. Close the door and arm the system. The alarm should chirp to confirm that it is armed.

Disable viper alarm

Yes the best way is disarm the alarm and put in a Valet Mode
To activate the Valet Mode do the following:

There is a push button or toggle switch to disable the alarm (to engage the valet mode). Without knowing where this
switch is you won't be able to disconnect the alarm.

1. Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "on" position.
2. Flip the toggle or hold the push button for at least 5 seconds.
3. The LED. light will stay solid on.
4. Turn the ignition off
5. Release the push button. If you have a toggle leave it alone in step 2

The alarm doesn't chirp and no flash of my headlights anymore. Also the blue light stays on the little receiver/antenna on the windshield wheather it is locked or not. What is the problem?

sounds like the alarm went into valet mode. that's usually what a solid blue light means on most viper alarms. check your owners manual on how to take the alarm out of valet mode. with the 5701 alarm its usually done with the remote. hope this helps
