Open battery compartment

Spray WD-40 around the compartment door and try to let it trickle inside the compartment. That should break the acid corrosion buildup that holds the door from opening.

  • 2 Turn the fan's remote control over, and remove the battery compartment cover. Take out the remote's 12-volt alkaline battery, and set it aside.
  • 3 Match the DIP switches inside the remote's battery compartment with the DIP switches on the fan's receiver unit.
  • 4 Reinsert the 12-volt alkaline battery into the remote's battery compartment, and replace the battery compartment cover.
  • 5 Go back to your circuit breaker or fuse box, and turn the power to your fan back on.
  • 6 Press the "Hi," "Med" and "Lo" buttons on the remote control in quick succession. Complete this step within 20 seconds of completing Step 5. The remote is now programmed and ready to operate your fan.

How to change the cooling fan in a toshiba laptop model p200d-139

    Instructions

Shut down your Toshiba laptop, and then disconnect all cables. Close the LCD lid, and then place the laptop face down on a flat surface. Position the laptop with front edge facing you.

Locate the battery pack near the top section of the laptop's bottom casing. Press on the battery release button. Remove the battery from the laptop.

Locate the cooling fan compartment cover. Its location varies from laptop to laptop, but it will be the only hardware cover with a vent in it. Remove the Phillips-head screws securing the fan's cover in place. Remove the cover from the laptop.

Disconnect the fan's cable from its connector on the motherboard. Remove the Phillips-head screws securing the fan in place. Lift the old fan out of the fan compartment and set it aside. Removing the old fan will reveal the processor chip. Apply a thin coat of thermal grease to the processor's surface using a clean paper towel. This will prevent your new processor from frying once you power on your laptop.

Place the new cooling fan assembly inside the fan compartment. Align the screw holes on the new fan with the screw holes inside the compartment. Replace the four retaining Phillips-head screws, and then reconnect the fan's power cable to the motherboard. Replace the fan compartment's plastic cover, and its retaining Phillips-head screws.

Replace the battery pack and reconnect all power cables and external devices. Turn on your laptop to test the new cooling fan

My 1988 Ford Tempo's heater fan is not working. I can feel heat at the windshield vents, but the fan wont come on. I have jumped the fan speed switch with a paper clip--and blew a fuse--and checked the...

your circuit is simple--I will paste it below. suspect the blower has shorted and caused the switch to burn up. remove the blower and hotwire it to the battery to see if it works. If not, replace the blower. Then run continuity tests on the swoitch and replace switch if bad. If you have questions, please let me know. Here is procedure for taking blower out:

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION With Air Conditioning

    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2. Remove the glove compartment door and glove compartment by removing the retaining screws and bolts. Push the sides of the glove box in to free the drawer from dash panel.
    3. Loosen the instrument panel at the lower right hand of the glove compartment opening. This is on it necessary if the panel is in the way of the motor housing.
    4. Remove the retaining screws securing the ducting around the blower motor.
    5. Remove the clip securing the blower motor fan blade to the motor arm. Remove the fan blade from the motor.
    6. Remove the blower motor mounting plate from the evaporator case by unscrewing the retaining screws.
    7. Rotate the motor until the mounting plate clears the edge of the glove compartment opening and remove the motor.
    8. Remove the wire harness from the rear of the motor.
    9. Inspect the fan blade for broken edges or cracks. Replace if needed.

    To install:
    1. Connect the wire harness to the rear of the blower motor.
    2. Install the motor into the case and secure with the retaining screws.
    3. Position and fasten the fan blade to the blower motor arm. Secure with the clip.
    4. Secure the blower motor outer housing to the duct assembly with the retaining screws.
    5. Install the instrument panel at the lower right hand side if removed earlier.
    6. Install the glove compartment door and glove compartment.
    7. Connect the negative battery cable.
    8. Run blower motors to make the motor works correctly.
    Without Air Conditioning
    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2. Remove the right ventilator assembly.
    3. Remove the hub clamp spring from the blower wheel hub. Pull the blower wheel from the blower motor shaft.
    4. Remove the blower motor flange attaching screws located inside the blower housing.
    5. Pull the blower motor out from the blower housing (heater case) and disconnect the blower motor wires from the motor.

    To install:
    1. Connect the wires to the blower motor and position the motor in the blower housing.
    2. Install the blower motor attaching screws.
    3. Position the blower wheel on the motor shaft and install the hub clamp spring.
    4. Install the air inlet duct assembly and the right ventilator assembly.

There is a message which says that an error has ocurred with the ventilation

HI. This will occur if the motherboard has detected an error within the cooling fans structure. The fan may have failed, mechanically, or there may be a loose connection at the fan circuit, as well. Kindly open the desktop compartment access panel, and observe the cooling assembly. This will most likely be a set of cooling fans, mounted on the rear of the desktop compartment. If the fans are not rotating, this will be the cause of the error. check the fan connections at the fan motor, and motherboard connection port,as well. If the connections are sound, replace the cooling fan(s).

To determine if the motherboard is the issue, simply jump the fan with a 9 volt battery. If it is operational when jumped, this will indicate a more serious issue that concerns the motherboard, or heat sinks.

My fan stays on all the time

Engine temp sensor has gone bad, thinks the engine is hot even with the ignition off.
open the engine compartment fuse panel and remove the fuse for the fan so you dont run your battery down while you park it, put it back in to drive though, just till you get the new sensor.

Fresh food compartment not cold, light is lit when door closed

Engwah, is this the correct model number or does it start with PSS. The light should do just the opposite, off when the door is closed and on when the door is open. This could be part of the non cool problem. If this model has the mother board wich controls the refrigerator it is very possible that the defective fan motor has damaged the motherboard. This is very common in GE refrigerators. The technician will have to run some tests on the board to eliminate it...Catriver..post back.
