SOURCE: Coleman Powermate 8750 will not generate electricity.

my name is scott i work on generators,i realy need more info so ill give u some basics
................1] need to check your brushes u can get to this on the back side of the motor,by tacking out the 4 bolts or depending on the cover a 1"x3" plate
................2]if that is good then i would test out the field or armature

p.s. all of this is done on the motor not the engine, also u may also want to talk to tech support at PRAMAC,this is the suplier for coleman/powermate

SOURCE: I have a Generac portable generator 5000 watts, won't start!

I am assuming the generator worked fine before the oil change. Now that you have done the oil change the genset does not start. These generators have a safety switch, which is basically an oil pressure switch that keeps the engine from running when there is not enough oil in the engine. Make sure that there is enough oil and if there is, look for a wire that runs along side of the engine to a round component. disconnect that wire and try starting. If it does not start then try to ground out the wire to the engine block. If this does not work, then there is other engine problems.

SOURCE: portable generator pops breaker when temp is over 75 degrees

I take it you have RV plugged into generator. Hopefully direct with no extension cords. Are you using a 30 to 15 amp adapter to plug into generator? What is the rating of the breaker on the generator that keeps tripping, suspect it's only 15 amp?

SOURCE: use a 7500 watt transfer switch with a 8000 watt

There is no problem to use it if the load to be transferred is under 7500 W.

Even a load of 8000 W may be handled for a short time, but if the protection of the switch is adjusted at 7500 W (the respective current), it may drop after some time.

My Powermate 8750 does not put out electricity! I checked the brushes seem ok? Tried flashing it at the brushes but not even a spark?

If the motor runs AND there is no electricity the power regulator modul can be damaged by faultering slide contacts or overload, if there is no circuit breaker protection is to find, a power assembly if there is used or a capacitor damaged.

My son in law drained the carborator 3 times to get the old gas out. Also put in an additive to the gas. He figured our unit had sat too long and the gas was getting old. It is running fine now. Just need to figure out how to idle it down.

I need a battery for a predator portable generator

Go to WalMart and look at their EverStart line of batteries for motorcycles and ATV's. I have the 8750/7000 watt predator and the EverStart ES9BS works great and fits well on the holder. It comes with the acid and you will need to add the acid and fully charge the battery before use.;

Hi, no you don't. It is a four stroke engine and uses engine oil in the sump only. Regards Phil.
