E:91:01 is an error code that indicates problem with flash unit circuit in camera. Flash unit board will be replaced to resolve this problem and temporary fix is to set flash Off quickly, before error could appear after initializing camera, hope this info will help you. Thanks.

I use w210 Sony Cybershot! I was taking pictures out in the sun, when I saw smoke coming out the camera and the camera become very hot. I also saw that I was using the camera bymistakely in the twilight mode out in the sun. And since then I tried intitializing it but the Error E:91:01 and flash symbol wont stop blinking. And flash Seems to have stopped working. Please help me to solve this problem
Hi, Its an error of flash unit(E:91:01 denots flash unit problem) which get started malfunctioning. Therefore you have to replace the FLASH UNIT ASSY. For changing of flash unit assy. E:91:01 is error code related to Flash Circuit abnormality. It requires qaulified technician to fix and such person would be available at nearest Sony repair shop.
according to the manual and E:91 code means "a camera malfunction that you cannot reverse has occurred" rhe corrective action states "Press the RESET button"
