Not likely to be DC generator output, it has inverter output. Inverter converts dc to ac. Test it if you have access to a voltage meter.

SOURCE: Power Generator

You have a brushless generator and you've already checked the capacitor that does the voltage regulation (wiring is fine).
The next thing to look at are the diodes, movs, and wires in the rotor.

SOURCE: 2 generators 1000 watts invertors

This cannot be done successfully with a standard generator.

Inverter based generators may have the ability to be paralleled with another of same exact type (like some Hondas and Yamaha), but these are the exception.

Unless your generator specifically offers the option, attempts to connect them will result in both electrical damage to the alternator, and likely mechanical damage to the engine.

I suspect that you are trying to get additional power to start a heavy load that a single generator isn't able to accommodate. You are able to use a storage battery in conjunction with a Trace Inverter to accomplish a similar goal. Once the battery is charged (by the inverter), the inverter will add generator power to inverter power to get the load started. This is a very expensive way to meet the goal. Better solution would be to trade or trade in your smaller generators for a larger generator that is suitable for your loads.

Output voltage adjustment

Output voltage is based on 3600 rpm @ 60Hz. Sounds like your generator is over speeding slightly. Put a Frequency meter on the output of the generator and tune it to 61.5 Hz, that will get your generator in the 3600 RPM range.

Hi, I recently purchased a used makita 6100r generator and when checking it out I discovered on my 30 amp 220 receptacles arent getting full power. I took out the receptacle and checked the wires in back...

You may be asking too much of the unit; the 5800 watts a which it is spec'd, may be a 'peak' power rating which may be 15-20% higher than its continuous rating. 30 Amps at 220 volts implies 6600 watts which is higher than even the peak power rating. I would expect the unit to produce ~4800 watts continuous or around 22 Amps.
Decided to check my statements and found this, which I quote:
Generator Volts AC (60Hz) 120/240 Max. Output Current 5800W-48.3A/24.2A Rated Output Current 4800W-40A/20A Volts DC (AMPS) 12 (8.3)

How many amps is the 120/240 volt circuit? I can tell you how to split it into two 120 volt circuits. A twist loc cord end, a piece of four conductor cord, two electric boxes, two receptacles would be needed.

Connect the black lead (negative) to the frame of the generator.

Connect the red lead (positive) to the big post on the starter solenoid. There are 2 big post terminals on the solenoid. Connect the battery positive lead to the one that DOES NOT go to the starter motor.

Ppi dcx 1500.1 is it 2 powerful 4 da 12in. L7?

Hello montyski20,

The amp outputs 500 watts RMS into 4ohms, 750 watts RMS into 2ohms and 1000 RMS into 1ohm.

The L7 can handle 750 watts RMS (375 watts per each coil). If your L7 is the 2ohm version, you should wire the voice coils in series, the positive marked coil to the negative unmarked coil. Then connect the remaining positive and negative to the amp terminals. This gives you a 4ohm load (500 watts). If your L7 is the 4ohm version, wire the voice coils in parallel, both marked and unmarked positives together, likewise both negatives and then to the amp terminals. This gives a 2ohm load (750 watts).

Paralleling the 2ohm sub will result in a 1ohm load (1000 watts) and that is too much for the L7.

Hope this helps.
