Tv codes for LG tv ..trying to program my jvc theater system rm-sthc8j to control my tv???

See if you can find the factory reset setting. That should restore the settings to normal. Though remotes made for other JVC devices might work some of the controls, they can cause complications.

American E-Bay does seem to be selling the original remote at the moment. It might be second hand, but at least you know it will work.

Direct Code Entry

1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

Samsung code = 12
1 Holding down TV/VIDEO, enter the code "1 2" by using the numeric buttons (0 - 9).Do not release TV/VIDEO. Keep holding it until the next step is completed.

2 Press STOP button while holding down TV/VIDEO.

3 Now try to operate your TV by pressing DVD POWER - TV POWER while holding SHIFT.
If your TV turns on or off, you have successfully set the control signal.
