My 2003 Nissan Xterra’s passenger side window isn’t working. I’ve replaced the motor and the regulator and I can get it to go down, but not up. Can someone please help? I just replaced my battery and I...

No, that's not the issue. You have one broken wire from the passenger door window switch to the master switch on the driver's door. Look at the color of the wires at the passenger switch: 3 wires come into it from the cabin, one is a power wire-it must be good if the window goes one way. One of the other two wires (coming from the master switch on driver's door and through the cabin and out to passenger door switch) is broken.
Look for a broken wire in the door openings.

Door switch has 2 wires.1black 1yellow. both disconnected. which goes where?

Hello Russell;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

Behind your control board you have 3 door contact switches. The top one is, "Normal" (Close operation), The middle one is, "Intermediate" (Closed operational), and the bottom switch is, "Door closed".

Usually it make no difference if the wires are the same color. You need to do a trial and error. Connect the wires to the door switch. If the microwave does not work reverse them. You will not damage the microwave.

Go into the following website, put in your model number located on a label on your microwave and you will get diagrams, and perhaps a wiring diagram. Water Filters Lawn Garden Appliance Parts

How to install new ceiling fan 3 speed switch with the 5 wires on the condenser?

Sales person should have written down what color wire goes into which slot on the switch. If you have two wires on the same end, and the same color, one of these goes into the #1. Black usually goes into the L slot. But, none of this matters if you don't have the correct switch. Just because it looks the same on the outside doesn't mean it's the same on the inside.

I would like to use the 1301 switch but my house circuit has 2 black wires and 1 red wire which terminals do I connect the wires to on the switch?

I don't know the copper-brand 1301 switch
Internet photos of the 1301 show that it has two screw terminals, and a green ground screw
Switch with 2 screws is a single-pole switch. (plug green ground screw)

Sounds like you are replacing 3-way switch with 3 screws. (plus green ground screw)
3-way switches control hallway lights, with switch at each end of hallway.

I think you need to buy a 3-way switch.

How to wire 3-way switch:
Bare ground always goes to green screw
The key is the dark-colored screw.
Old switch has dark-colored screw >> mark this wire.
Attach this wire to dark-colored screw on new switch.
Other two wires go to either screw.

3 way switch diagrams

Three way switch diagram: Three-way switch has 3 screws

ad45624.jpg

Before replacing old 3-way switch, mark the wire connected to dark-colored screw
Connect that wire to dark-colored screw on new switch.

If you are confused which wire goes to dark-colored screw
Mark the 2 black wires and the red wire.
You are not going to do anything with the white wire.
Connect blacks and red to any screw, turn on power, and try BOTH switches
Keep trying until correct combination is discovered
Both switches must work in all possible up-down positions before wiring is correct
Incorrect wiring will not blow circuit breaker, the circuit just doesn't work until wires are right.

Four way switch is added to 3-way circuit

Can you tell me where the outgoing wires are going to. Bare wire is ground goes in green color screw, white wire is neutral and goes in silver color screw, black wire is hot or live and goes in gold color screw. It is difficult to help you with little information. how do you know what is incoming and outgoing.

Sensors

I think someone has used wiring that didn't come with the opener. One the rear of the motor unit are wiring terminals. The sensors connect to terminals 2 and 3. Whichever color wire is connected to terminal 2 goes to the screw marked white and the wire on terminal 3 goes to the screw marked black. This information is if you have a Craftsman or Chamberlain opener.
