Do you know what is the jam code. Probably you have the sensor in duplex entrance stuck or theduplex entrance guide stuck and not moving freely hence putting pressure on the sensor. Btoh are situated on the side door upper part. Hope this helps you solve the problem.
Well you most likely have a torn piece of paper in front of a switch/sensor. Did you tear paper out or open all the doors and remove in one piece? If you pulled it and tore you may have A) Bent or broke the sensor in the jammed area. 2) not actually cleared the jam that caused it to begin with. Open all doors look for any paper or sensor usually in the middle of the rollers. 3.) If lint/paper dust is inside the machine blow out with compressed air. Usually the case is a sensor related issue. 4) Unplug from the wall and wait for "prom" to clear then plug in, usually 10 sec. usually not but never hurts to try. But must unplug from the wall. simply turning off will not work.
Hope I helped

Sounds like this is a common problem with these printers. Hopefully, this is a malfunction of the printer that you can remedy.
I'm assuming that you have THOROUGHLY searched the printer for any evidence of paper and/or debris. Have you tried resetting the printer? If this issue is as simple as just needing to clear the error from the printer then a reset should work. (If you still have the manual, it should provide instructions on resetting the printer.) This is the best that I can provide on how to reset it:
Please rate this solution or let me know if this was any help.

It's concerning the toner level in the dev unitor drum unit. Try entering service mode and selecting 'install' this will stir toner and try to feed toner through. Could be a dirty or faulty toner level sensor. Cuuld also be the drum life over - check drum life in the service mode. Check my other posts to see how to enter service mode

Could there possibly be:
A) Paper jammed internally: Power Off. Open the cover and remove the paper or scrap carefully. Do not touch the internal printer parts. Close the cover. Power on.
B) Foreign objects in printer: Power Off. Open the paper support and confirm that there is no foreign material in the auto sheet feeder. (If so, remove it by hand or with tweezers). Open the front cover and confirm that there is no foreign material in the unit. Avoid touching the inner workings of the machine.
C) Reset the printer:
1. Turn the printer off with the Power button
2. Disconnect the data cable from the printer
3. Unplug the printer's power cord for approximately 10 minutes, and then plug it back in. Attach data cable.
4. Turn the printer back on.
If all of these suggestions fail, your iP1600 may require repair service. Please note: With the suggested retail price of $29.99 USD, repair does not seem cost effective - you could just go out and purchase a new printer.

Hi,
these means that copier cant detect the toner in developing/toner assy.
You should try to reconnect the toner developing assy and try to vacume it.
Also check if the toner bottle is rotating, if yes that means that toner is being dosed and problem is developing assy.
If you do not want to call service write me on [email protected] for service manual.
hope that helps!
