SOURCE: Kenmore Elite HE3 front loading washer

Before you go crazy trying to solve the F2 code make sure the filter is clear. Disconnect the power cord, PLEASE. Remove the kick plate on the bottom front by removing the 3 screws below it. You will need a hex socket and extension or a torx screw driver. If there is water in the machine and it will not drain you will need a shop vac and some old towels to catch the water when you open the filter. Now, you will see the filter in front of you. Have the towels ready and vac turned on. Quickly unscrew the filter cap and stick the vac hose right in the filter to catch the water. Clean the filter cap. Did you find any socks, money or other debree ? If yes that may have been your problem. Put the filter back on and HAND tighten well. Test the machine. From now on empty all pockets before you do the laundry. You just saved yourself a big repair charge. Be proud of yourself.

SOURCE: Problem starting fridgidaire model FDB1050REC2

hello kwill8
welcome to Fixya.

You said, You just installed the dishwasher and the only cycle it will go through is the rinse cycle. When You turn the dial to any of the other cycles:pots&pans, normal, light wash and upper rack, the start button as well as the heat dry button and the high temp button do not work. only button that will light up when pressed is the delay button. How can you fix this?

Is this your model FDB1050REC2This is a brand new model and you said you just installed it!
If it is brand new!
You do not have to fix it.
You have a full years warranty, parts and labor!let them fix it no cost to you.
The first thing they will do, . You can do your self!

Go to the breaker and turn it off for 5 minutes and then on again. This should reset the system and this usually is the end to most bad starts!

try it!

SOURCE: I can't get the control panel to reset. The

II might need the actual model number. However, you can go to page 9 on this manual and check if the flashing options can fix the problem. I am assuming you have already tried to turn the power off and back on.

The ohter thing to try is the reset sequence. Within 6-7 secs press High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry. All lights should light up, press Start button to exit.

Getting a code F then H

Hi, "FH" is a No Water Detect error. It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. Check whether the water taps are turned on sufficiently, the inlet hoses are not kinked, the water inlet valve is not clogged, you don't have a siphoning issue, and/or the drain pump is working.

Control locked on whirlpool ghw9100lw1

This advise is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet front loader washers and dryers with a Control Lock problem.

This may or may not be an indication of a serious problem. In the majority of the cases, this is a simple operator error. Nearly all these model appliances have some sort of Control Lock feature on the front panel now. This is a designed safety feature that is used to prevent small children from manipulating the controls. The controls can be easily locked or unlocked by pressing and holding the following button on the front panel:

Whirlpool Duet Washer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 3 seconds.

Whirlpool Duet Dryer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 3 seconds.

Kenmore Elite Washer - Press and hold the DRAIN/SPIN button for 3 seconds.

Kenmore Elite Dryer - Press and hold the AUTO DRY LEVEL button for 3 seconds.

These instructions may not be all inclusive for all Kenmore and Whirlpool models, but they are the most common. Chances are, if you have a Control Lock feature, the instructions will be printed on the front panel adjacent to the button that is required to lock or unlock the controls.

NOTE: These instructions may also work for newer model Maytag, Hotpoint, Admiral and Fridgidaire model front loaders as well. Refer to your owner's manual or front panel for instructions pertaining to your sepcific model.

If the Control Lock feature will not lock or unlock the appliance, unplugging the unit for AT LEAST 30 minutes is recommended in order to reset the main control board. In many cases this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches.

The control panel on my Whirlpool Duet model # GHW9100LW1 reads control locked. How do I get out of this?

There is a control lock so noone can start the washer washer or change your settings after starting the washer. There is a subscript under one of the option buttons that says (usually not very dark or prominant) Control Lock Hold for 3 seconds. Hold this button in for 3 seconds, sometimes slightly longer and the control lock should turn off. Most are not aware of this feature because it is never used. If this does not solve your problem unplug the washer for about five minutes and try again, if problem still persists please repost.

Washer model GHW9100LW1 will nopt fill or start

Could be one or more of the following items not working properly or bad:

- Flowmeter.
- Water inlet valve
- Water pressure switch. (last thing to replace)

Make sure to unplug power cord before you replace the part and also make to clean drain tube and filter every year.
