Mike,

Sorry to hear the carb is leaking. This happens when the Carb Float Needle gets stuck and is easy to rectify.
If you watch this video on YouTube it will show you how to free up the Float Needle. It is the same procedure on all Carbs:

It sounds like maybe you tore the gasket that attaches the carb to the block. Check that, Also make sure your screws holding the carb. in place are tightened.

Gas leak when I put the scooter on the kickstand

I own an Andretti M50 and I had 2 different gas leak problems, and neither was a stuck float.
- the gas filter that comes with the bike is a 2-piece screw together unit and the gasket between the 2 pieces leaks gas down onto the cylinder!
I replaced with a $3 one piece from Pep Boys.
- the second leak the gas just poured onto the ground. It was caused by poor design and tight tolerances where the fuel line attaches to the carb. The fuel line would get guillitoned every time you hit a bump by the engine swinging the carb tight against the frame. I rotated the carb in its manifold away from the frame. (you have to cut the nubs off the carb manifold to rotate it).

Runs in idole, but boggs down and quit when i give it gas....(double edge echo hedgetrimmer 1500 gas power

Fuel starvation - 'lean fuel' condition
Basic things to check:
1) spark plug
2) spark arrestor in muffler
3) fuel lines and tank filter
4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn
Chain Saws:
5) check impulse tube and intake boot for cracks or leaks
*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then:
Remove Carburetor
6) replace gaskets/diaphragms
a) use a spray carb cleaner to clean jets, holes, and body of carb
b) fuel pump diaphragm goes against the carb body,
then the gasket towards the outside
c) metering gasket goes against the carb body,
and the diaphragm goes towards the outside

Riding mower backfired; now leaking gas.

Carb gasket will most likely need to be replaced. Good idea to pull apart, clean and soak carb and floats anyways in the process.

25cc weed eater, will only idle

double check your carb as it should have a screw for the fuel mixture. some carbs have a plastic piece over them that only lets you move the screws so far if you need more extreme adjustment they pull out about a 1/8th of a inch then you can turn in then push it back in, same principals as making a flame on a bic lighter bigger, if you cant find it take some pics of your carb and email them to me @ [email protected] and i will point them out
