Have LG 50LN5400. Has audio and using flashlight, screen shows images

I replaced 1 strip of leds for backlight, all 3 boards but when powered on, backlight flashes once and goes out. I upgraded the tv software to prevent this after installing the new leds. what am I missing?

Before backlight, I would always suspect TCON board

Unfortunately, I have already replaced all 3 boards(psu, main and TCON). Only board not replaced is the one connected to leds. Unable to source that one.

Likely the diodes are also blown, and are what caused the capacitors to blow.

LG 47LN5750 Have audio and have done flashlight test - I can see image with flashlight - no backlights.

Make sure the power supply is being triggered. If there is no LED_On signal it may read that. But if you know the backlight should be in, then check LEDs. Try powering each LED on the strip individually with a battery/resistor. unhook each strip before testing.

How do I determine if the problem with my LG TV is the LED power supply or the actual LED strips if when powered on, they flash and go black and the FlashLight test shows darkened images on the Screen

Chances are if it briefly comes on the backlights I mean the power board is shutting off because of over voltage or over current and some lamps are bad...On this set of yours if you try to test the strips you need to take into consideration these are 6 volt lamps not 3 volt that are used on most sets.

TV Back lights are turning off after 30 seconds - 5 minutes. A flashlight test showed there was a extremely faint image on the screen. Is replacing the power supply board a good option?

This is a common problem for LG 42LN5xxx & 47LN5xxx LED TVs, the problem is defective LED back lights strips, it has nothing to do with main power supply & the main board.

It is a very common problem for LG LED TV, the problem is defective back lights LED strip. You need to open the display panel, find the burn out strips & replace it (them).

Black screen, audio, no backlight. What's wrong?

This is most likely a failure of the actual LED strips themselves. They do attach to a board at the edge, it could be the board but you have to order the board and strips as one unit.

I have no light on my led tv
