Kick switch is right on back of break pedal
meaning short of moving seat all way back and becoming a gymnast the brake switch should be easy to get too but there are 4 screws and 4 clips
now this where you have become gymnast two are on corners of follow bead line from steering wheel in both directions
once remove screws dont pry but gently test kick panel for play it should now slide in towards firewall and dismount
its a sensor on brake pedal there is easy adjust ment bolt before it sometimes bolts just get loose and find there way down
Before any parts are replaced, it needs to be determined if the brake pedal switch is being actuated properly and functioning properly. After that, the interlock solenoid needs to be checked, as well as the linkage.
Hello, Check under the Drivers side dash. Look at the top of the brake pedal lever and there is a switch there. Sometimes the switch gets kicked and damaged or just shifted in its' holder. The switch is most likely working as it is the one which allows you to shift out of Park when depressing the brake pedal.
You can check your brake lights too, but they may work if the switch case is broken and not shorted.
if you look in footwell area at kick panel where the ratchet pedal you push down to apply brake you will see where it was attached [cable/or rod] take a pair of needle nose pliers and move lever it was attached to be careful don,t let pedal fly up and smack you when it releases if this does,nt work or need more info contact me @ fixya will reply asap
