It means the washer did not get any water. Make sure the HOT and COLD taps are both turned on (even if you only use cold). If that wasn't it, check the screens on the inlet where your hose connects to the washer. They get clogged or rusted. If this does not solve your problem it could be a water valve or water sensor issue.

Do it yourself Patricia. Take off the front panel lower left. Put a baking tray under it and remove the filter and clean it.

I have a kenmore elite HE3t and it has an F20 error code. What does this mean?
Hello,

The F20 error code means; no water was detected entering washer or pressure switch trip was not detected after 6 minutes

Many times that is caused by a blockage a pinched fill hose,or the filter screen on back of washer where hoses attach to are clogged

What does F20 mean. this us\ally happens during the first cycle.
as far as i can remember f20 means an outflow problem. On whitegoods.co.uk all machine faults are explained. Error codes can be quite vague and f20 could mean your pump has stopped functioning, you outflow pipe is kinked or you have an internal blockage.

What does the F20 flashing code mean on whirlpool duet washer
I believe F20 may point towards a control unit failure.
You could try disconnecting it from the mains supply for a minute and plug it back in.
