The safety interlock system is designed to prevent the engine from starting unless: • The PTO is disengaged. • The motion control levers are in the brake position
You have to check both arm switches and PTO switch. AND somewhere/how there's a automatic park brake switch but I'm not locating in assembly drawing. If I've got the right model, you should hear the automatic brake deactivate when you pull both arms in and then set brake (default) when levers pushed out.
Make sure nothing is interfering with auto-bake. Once all the interlocks are satisfied, rotating off/run/start switch to start will energize starter solenoid.
Check the shut of switches for blade , brake , deck, pto. You may have just shut down the tractor and forgot to disengage these safety features. Good Luck Friend.
Timing or stuck valve. If it is indeed getting fuel into the cylinder. Try directly squirting a small amount of fuel into the carb throat. If it then actually fires off you know the carb needs a cleaning. Be careful though as if it happens to backfire it can try to catch fire.
check to see if pto will engage if not check voltage at pto if non blown fuse if fuse not blown and power to pto bad pto jump the pto at pto with battery in mower does it start pto if does good pto have to check volts at switch check there start with that let me no what happened
I have no idea what type or model of mower you have but if I was to guess I would say it has an electric pto clutch on it, if so remove your pto belt and clutch. I would bet it is burned out and locked up preventing your motor from turning over. Once the clutch is removed I will bet it will start and run fine. This is not a cheap fix but relatively easy one. Hope this helps.
Does this only happen when the engine is warm or at operating temperature or all the time even when cold? In older engines, a 'bad ignition coil' would fail when the engine warmed up and would not start again until cool or at ambient temperature.
Hi one thing to try sstart up ngine le it warm up and get a screw diver and turn the mix screw on the carb 1/4 turn out and try that engage PTO if nothing turn another 1/4 if nothing turn engine of and turn mixure sew all the way in very easy dont force it just when it stops turn 1 and 1/4 turn to 1and 1/2 out now start it and try pto if its still slowing down turn another 1/4 turn out now if that didnt work just make sure you have a clean air filter and fuel filter and spark plug before you do any of the above then u will need carb rebuilt please use fresh gas otherwise you will very low power
