If your unit has a primer bulb, start your engine . When it starts to die push your primer, if the engine comes back to life you have a carb issue.

will it restart immediately or do you have to wait for awhile? if it restarts then check the fuel flow from the fuel tank to the carburetor. if it doesn't and you have to wait then check the ignition module. as the unit gets hot the module heats it stops working and as it cools off it works until it heats up again

check that you have good fuel flow to the carb. if it has a fuel shut off valve make sure it is open all the way.

clean the screen inside the muffler

sounds like a carb problem if new bring it back to the store

Check your carburetor float

Check for water in tank especially if kept outside.

One screw is fuel and one is air, try turning the screws in all the way then open three turns and start from there.

The on/off switch is stuck in the "locked on" position or there is a short at the switch. In either case this presents a real hazard and should be repaired by a qualified repair tech. immediately

Try better quality gas. I had the same problem. Ethanol too high in lower grade gas. Buy better grade or ethanol free. Mine works fine with better gas.
