SOURCE: water being left in the dispensers when the washer cycle is done

Water in the fabric softner slot is normal, but for the detergent slot you have to clean out with a tooth brush if you can't get the tray out. If there is water there it is quite a serious block, which is affecting your wash.

Gltf1670as1can you use powder detergent in ?

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that you want to know if you can use powder detergent in your Frigidaire washer, model# GLTF1670AS1. Below are the advised steps for the detergent dispenser of your washer.

ā€¢ Add measured detergent to the detergent compartment of the dispenser drawer.
ā€¢ Detergent is flushed from the dispenser at the beginning of the cycle. Either powdered or liquid detergent can be used. Note: Liquid detergent will drain into the washer drum as it is added.
ā€¢ Low sudsing detergent is recommended for this washer. Use the manufacturer's recommended amount.
ā€¢ If low sudsing detergent is not available, a reduced amount of regular detergent may be used. Because
reducing the amount of detergent may reduce cleaning, it is important to pretreat stains, sort carefully by color and soil level, and avoid overloading.
ā€¢ Detergent usage may need to be adjusted for water temperature, water hardness, size and soil level of the load.
ā€¢ For best results, avoid oversudsing.

Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

f08 e03 error codeF8E2 is DISPENSER SYSTEM ERROR - Dispenser motor is unable to reach the desired position. Possible causes: Check the mechanical linkage from the dispensor motor to top of dispenser. See TEST #12 (Dispensor Distribution System) on page 21. Someone else can post to contents of Page 21. Good luck.

Yes, it is a dispenser system error. The technician manual says to check the mechanical linkage from dispenser motor to top of dispenser.

However, in my case this page from whirlpool was helpful:
https://www.whirlpool.com/product-he...r-code/PH5260/

It says a common solution for this error (f8 e2) is:
The detergent drawer or detergent cartridge might be clogged with detergent. Clean out the detergent cartridge per Use and Care Instructions.
If cleaning the detergent cartridge did not correct the problem, please contact us.
For any additional questions, please call our Customer eXperience Center toll-free at 1-866-698-2538, Monday through Friday 8AM-8PM Eastern Standard Time.
You will be asked to provide the model and serial number which is found on the front door rim after opening the door.

So I washed out my dispenser and now it's working again.

My washer is giving me an error message of F30 and it makes humming noise like it wants to come on but it doesn't.

The fault guide says the following about F30:

DISPENSER SYSTEM ERROR
The dispenser motor cannot be driven to its proper position

1. Unplug and disconnect power
2. Check mechanical linkage from dispensor motor to top of dispenser
3. Check wire harness connections to the dispenser motor and central control unit
4. Check dispenser motor for powered rotations

Hope this helps

Frigidaire front load washer (GLTF1040ASO) is leaking water by the detergent dispenser area. Any suggestions on what this could be?

This is usually caused by solidified detergent blocking the water ways in the detergent dispenser.

Check the inside of the dispenser to make sure the outlet holes are not blocked.

Most dispensers can be removed for cleaning check your appliance instructions for details.

What causes a bad smell to come from a washing machine

You MUST use "HE" (High Efficiency-Low Suds) type detergent--but to use the correct amount.
Nearly all brands of "HE" detergent have incorrect instructions.

The correct amount is as follows:

HE: (2) Tablespoons Per Washload

HE 2X (double concentrated) : (1) Tablespoon

HE 3X (triple concentrated): (1) Teaspoon

This reduces/prevents:

1) Musty Odor

2) "LE" Error/Interrupted Cycle

3) L-O-N-G Cycle Times (longer than time displayed)

4) Insufficient Cleaning Results

5) Small Water Leaks from the air vent behind the washer or at the
front door gasket

6) Damaged Hall Effect Sensor (on 2007 or older LG washers)

7) Reduced Spin Speeds (laundry not spin-dried effectively)

Most consumers were doing what is *normally* the right thing to do, which is to follow directions on the detergent label. In this rare case--those directions should be entirely disregarded.

Additionally--in many LG washers--the liquid dispenser cup (blue cup) has a "MAX" line on the white siphon cap.
This was a very big *faux pas* on LGs part--this "MAX" line has NOTHING to do with measuring detergent and should never be used as a guide for determining correct detergent amount.
The "MAX" line indicates how much liquid must be in the blue dispenser cup before it DISPENSES from the bottom of the cup.
This is a very, very frustrating mistake that gives owners much grief.

After three months of incorrect type of detergent or incorrect amount of the correct detergent used--musty odor begins to occur.
After more than two years--a significant amount of soap scum/curd has accumulated in the washer. Odor-causing bacteria flourishes on this build-up.
It is imperative to remove this slimy residue. Tide sells a product called "TIDE WASHING MACHINE CLEANER" which is very effective.

Lg wm3677hw the le error code, how do I repair

Some of my notes:

When you press the "SPIN SPEED" button and "SOIL LEVEL" button the water level frequency should be above 246. If it be below that number find the small tube going to the control and blow it out. Get rid of the sediment in the air bell and reconnect tightly. Pump out water and retry.

Hall sensor failure:
When too much of the low-sudsing HE detergent is used in the LG washers (and especially non-HE type detergent)...

The motor & main board will detect suds when the tub begins to spin.

As strange as this sounds--suds causes drag/resistance.

The older hall sensors overheated--the main board would shut-down the washer & flash an error message of "LE".

If the Hall Sensor was not damaged--then the customer would be able to unplug the washer for about 2-3 minutes and plug in the washer again--the washer would be able to be re-started (reboot of the computer).

Eventually--this results in an "LE" error that won't re-set and the Hall Sensor needs to be replaced. The tell-tale symptom of this (aside from a "stuck" LE error) is that when the customer pushes the START button--the tub *wiggles* momentarily before flashing LE again.
On a few occasions--the washer WILL start but the motor GROWLS loudly.

It's very important not only to use "HE" (High Efficiency-Low Suds) type detergent--but to use the correct amount.
Nearly all brands of "HE" detergent have incorrect dosage instructions.

The correct amount is as follows:

HE: (2) Tablespoons Per Washload

HE 2X (double concentrated) : (1) Tablespoon

HE 3X (triple concentrated): (1) Teaspoon

This reduces/prevents:

1) Musty Odor

It is imperative to remove this slimy residue. Tide sells a product called "TIDE WASHING MACHINE CLEANER" which is very effective.

Once a tub has become heavily contaminated--normal methods of performing a TUB CLEAN cycle won't "cut it".

Add the entire packet of "TIDE WASHING MACHINE CLEANER" directly into the tub (no laundry) and close the door.

Press and hold: SPIN SPEED & SOIL LEVEL buttons--then press POWER button.
Wait for door to lock.

Press the START button (6) times--this will fill the tub with hot water to the maximum setting when it stops filling.

Press the START button two more times--this will enable the tub to tumble.
After 3 hours--turn "off" the washer.
Turn the washer back "on".
Select the shortest wash cycle (usually "quick wash") and press "START". This will rinse out the tub.
This method of "TUB CLEAN" is *not* from a service manual but has been the best method for cleaning out LG washers more than a year into incorrect detergent usage.

After this--use the correct amount of "HE" detergent & perform a "TUB CLEAN" cycle every (4) months using the *tub clean* option on the control panel.

My washing machine gets stuck when it is going to start the rinse cycle

Top 10 frontload washer problems

1)Water fill problem: water took more than 10 minutes to fill to desired level sometimes indicated as a LF/IE or long fill/inlet error. Water valve screens clogged, hoses kinked, low water pressure, unpaid water bill. Check hose, clean screens.
2)Excessive vibration: noisey, roar, knocking noises. Bad damper, bearing or broken trunion. no error code
3)Dispenser drawer open/detergent in wrong compartment: washer will not operate with drawer open or cleaning products in wrong compartment.
4)Washer won't drain: clogged pump/filter, slow or clogged drain usually indicated as a LD/DE, if a code is given (long drain/drain error) Clear pump of objects
5)Drum overfilled: usually caused by sediment in the water level pressure sensing tube going up to the main control.Find it and blow out the sediment, re-secure pump out water and retry.
6)Door open, Door not latched, clothes/objects keeping door from completly closing. Tighten door latch, add washers if nessesary to make good contact and close door tighter in case of leaks.Note some models send a sig nal to the motor and another to the control letting both know the door is secure before proceeding, corrosion gets into the lid lock and the door can be locked and the control is ready but the motor ain't getting the message.
7)Cold water does not enter washer: hoses connected backwards. Oops.
8)Oversudsing: Wrong Detergent, too much detergen, detergent in wrong dispensing drawer, turbidity monitors pick up particles in the water and judge soil content then the washer allows for extra time to wash the clothes, if the wrong detergent is in there the machine thinks that is too much and declares a suds error. On some models a suds detect is determined by the motor over amping, most machines will try a few mini loads to correct the problem. Remove detergent, retry
9)Locked motor: error LE,loose connection,broken wire/hallsensor, motor overheated/failed.
10)Water heating error, hE, the termister/heater is out.

Your repair Manual with photos and tech data HERE
I will leave that on there for a while but it takes up broadband so print that manual out and keep it close to that washer.
