All driver seats in almost every SUV and Crossover either hurt my neck or shoulder blades and/or inbetween. Either the headrest pishes my neck forward when driving in a straight posture or if the headrest is taken out or not then the other issue is my shoulder blades hurt. It can take 5 minutes or up to 30 minutes for the pain to settle in. My current vehicle is a 1996 Honda Odysseyy and I have zero problems with the seat. I need a more updated SUV, preferably. Any odeas to help?
After road testing before buying a new car, I found that all except one manufacturer have the head rests in an awkward position that pushes the head forward
that make is a mitsubishi and it across the range from the car to their suv model
fortunately I had a mitsubishi sedan previously so the head rest position was good but I was prepared to remove the head rests of the others if I could not a vehicle that was suitable and bend the head rest rods to attain more head clearance
many have the seats now so designed that the side air bags and moulding tend to push the shoulders forward and around and this cramps the muscles when sitting for a period
You may have to road test quite a few models to get seats and head rests that suit your body
Finding good seating is tough.
Better models will have more adjustments on the seats but if you search you may be able to find a mint low mileage 1996 Honda which is like new and then you will have a seat you know works for you.
Otherwise.....you could take your seat with you.
Put it into the newer vehicle.
SOURCE: The drivers seat is stuck.
I'm assuming this is a power seat. If so, there are separate motors that control the various functions of the seat such as forward/backard, recline, lumbar support, etc. It could be that the motor or an electrical connection to the motor for the forward/backward motion is faulty. Normally all of the motors would be on the same power circuit, so if some of the functions are working then it is probably not a blown fuse.
Just one other personal observation, I have actually seen an instance where some loose pocket change had spilled under the seat and a quarter had become wedged in the track that the seat slides in and had jammed the tracks so tightly that the seat would not move.
One thing to note is whether or not you hear anything when you try to move the seat forward/backward. If you hear a click or a buzz when you press the button then that could mean that something is physically jamming the seat tracks. If you don't hear anything when you press the button, then that more than likely means a problem with the motor or the electrical connection to the motor.
SOURCE: How can I remove front row seat headrest?
Most volvo headrest can be removed by releasing the catches which are on the back of the headrest on some models and on the front on others I believe on 960 they are on the back. To release the seat on a 960 look where the shafts should be then follow it down on the back where the seat back top stops then goes in press around that area you should be able to find the catch there pull up on the headrest while releasing the catch you have to do this on both sides. The headrest should come off this also works on 740 and 760 series the volvo 780 is a different story the only way to get the headrest off on that is to disassemble the seat

contact the ford motor company.... they are the leaders in van conversions .... often converting ford windstars... can't remember what the new van is but it's exactly the same as a windstar... just a different name. i have found you the page to go to for and they will help you work out what you need.

SOURCE: power seat issue
Get out your voltmeter, unplug the connection to the seat's motor, underneath the seat, and hit the switch. if youve got power going to the motor then youll need to replace the motor. If not, it's probably the switch. Also make sure the wires are not cut or damaged somewhere between the switch and the seat.

Im doing the same thing.. Push the headrest full forward, then lift hard to get past last indent in pole.. This worked for the front as well.. i also could not find a hole to push
