Everytime I was on Facebook it would say session expired, logging out. Then I tried to log in but the password was wrong apparently. So I had to reset my password and get a code sent to my phone and I made a new password. Everything was fine until today when my Facebook was acting weird and did the session expired logging out thing again. I tried to log in with the exact new password I made the night before and it wouldn't work. I tried to reset the password but it didn't have the send a code to your phone option. Only the email option. But I haven't used this email in years and I can't remember any of the other ones. So when I go to the email option someone else's email pops up like this: f******[email protected] and I need help. No one seems to want to help me and the help center for Facebook isn't helping me at all. Idk if someone hacked me or what

If the wrong account comes up when you go to Facebook.com, click the down-pointing triangle in the upper-right then click "Log Out."

Try updating your ios version is there is one available. If your ipad is jailbroken then you'll probably have to find another solution. Try downloading chrome or any other browsers from the appstore and see chat happens.

I haven't had to do this with Facebook in a while, but you might want to double check a couple of things. 1st) make sure that if they are giving you a replacement password that you log in with that password and before you log out you go to your Facebook profile an update your profile with a new password of your chooing: following, of course, any rules Facebook has about the length and make-up of a new password. In other words if they require that your new password has to have more than 8 characters but less than 16 and must have at least at least one alpha, one numeric, and one capital that you create a new password matching those requirements. If they give you a password to log in with, it is just a temporary password and is only intended to be used once to allow you the opportunity to create a new password. Once you log in with the temporary password it expires and if you don't create a new one while you are logged in, you won't be able to log back in with out going through the entire process again. 2nd) Make sure that when you create a new password that you do not have the capslock key engaged. This can lead to all sorts of confusion as you are essentially reversing all your upper and lower case letters if the capslock key is on. I hope this helps. Good luck.

You have to go to your settings and change how your settings change when you log in and out.

You could have been tricked at a wireless lan spot. There is a firefox plugin which can access every open session in your network and act like yourself, also change the password.
You can prevent this by using https everytime.
That's only an oppertunity.
You can also try it on the normal way by answering the own secret questions and change your password this way.

well, the connection timer has timed out, It has to do with internet connection speed and consistency. If your connection to the site gets dropped, it's because the website doesn't hold it's connection open too long waiting for your computer to connect to the site, which ties up the server/network. once the timeout ends, your connection expires. Basically your computer only has a certain amount of time to connect to the site, if it doesn't, the connection expires. And Facebook is hugely popular. hope this helps.

everytime i go and try to log in to facebook it tells me that it is the wrong password, i have used the same password for some time, i try to reset it and it will not allow me to . And I have no idea how to clear cookies either Help!
