Miele Washing Machine Code: Check drain
What does that mean?

    drainfault check drain miele w4800

I sorted my problem as follows:
Code F138 after I cleaned the drain filter but didn't close the drain properly. At the next wash the MIELE CLASSIC washing machine leaked; this filled the drain pan. Then I had error F138 with error lights indicating "Drain problem" and "water inlet" problem.
The machine would not restart and the error wouldn't clear even after resetting because the "DRAIN PAN" had water in it. To FIX THE PROBLEM, I tilted the machine forward until the water in the drain pan came out. The float in the drain pan registered this and the error cleared.

The MIELE Classic has a drain pan that collects water and bips an error to shut off water supply in case of internal leak and to protect the electrics. Empty it and the problem is fixed. I did however check the TWO water inlet filters (at BOTH ends of the feed HOSE, drain filter, drain pipe, drain flexi etc....

It keeps happening to me. What should I do (instead of tilting it every time)?

Do you mean cleaning the hose attached at the back or some part inside the machine?

Cannot open door of my Miele W1918 washing machine. Prior to that the check drain light was flashing.

Sounds Like it hasn't drained, or thinks there is still water in it. Take the drain hose out of the standpipe and place into a bowl. This will allow the machine to drain into the bowl. You'll need to then check the drain pump to find out why it hasn't drained....normally something like a hair pin stuck in the impellor stopping it turning

I have a Miele W 3725 washing machine and it is showing drain fault? what does this mean and how do I fix it please?

Hi,
A drain fault is anything which stops the machine from emptying out the water.
The easiest thing to check is the filter, which is usually at the bottom of the front-panel, behind a flap.
Unscrew the cap & clean-out anything which may be blocking the filter.
WARNING: The machine may be full of water & it WILL run out when you open the cap, so take the machine outside if you can or at very least lean the machine backwards to take the pressure off the cap & have lots of towels to soak-up spills.
The next thing is the drain-pump which may not be working. It's at the bottom, near the filter. Make sure that the two leads are properly connected.
Pump replacement is quite simple & straightforward, if it has failed.

Finally, it is possible that the fault code is false because it's actually a control-board which has failed. That will be expensive to repair or replace, so do the free & cheap stuff first.
Best of luck.

What is code error F50 on my miele W3725 washing machine mean

I have today purchased a Miele 3985 machine with a know F50 Fault code appearing

Before I went to the expense of calling a Miele technician, I explored the blocked / clogged drain path

I removed the drain pipe and noticed there was a lot of 'residue' / gunk in there

I cleaned what I could, and blew through the pipe back into the machine

Then I did a cotton wash cycle at 90degrees, with a 1litre of bleach to clean the drain path

The wash looked extremely dirty during the cycle

It appears that this resolved the F50 fault code issue with my Miele 3985 Navitronic

How do i fix miele w1113: stopped with oversudsing; buzzer sounds; "intake", "drain", "- - -"

the pump is not running when it is in a cycle, just when the machine is forced into a drain and spin. we have a bad drain pump motor and possible a bad board or main control. http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/jgrella16/2011-09-22_041351_w1100_w1200_ti_112304.pdf

Service mode reset

does your machine have a drain trap-clean that out-if you still are getting the message, there may be a problem with you drain pump-check it for blockage. the check inlet means you have a water supply problem-either blockage or no pressure coming into the machine-both supply and drain can get clogged and bring your laundry to a halt-cheers Denny

Miele washing machine w 487 check drain and check inlet

Clean out the pump trap. If you are on well water or just have very hard water, your inlet valve may be becoming constricted as well, remove the fill hoses from the back of the machine and shine a bright light into the valve to see if the screens are getting clogged with debris: In this case, follow the instructions the computer is giving you.
