I have come home to find my garage door open the first time i thought my fault but the second time I spoke to the neighbors and was told the door open on it's own around 9:00 a.m. I leave for work at 5:30 a.m.

One check is to use the lock feature on your hard-wired door button. This will disable ALL remotes. See if it opens on it's own. If it does it is not the remote but possible a mouse or cracked wires shorting across the opener wire to make a contact. It could be a faulty board if it does open to check this Disconnect the open wires "At" the opener, they are just push in type on most openers. If it still opens then its the board.
