Had this problem and I had to reset to cure. You could try deleting browsing history first but pretty sure it didn't work for me so had to reset device. Probably not what you wanted to read sorry :(
Wake the Kindle by pressing the button on the bottom edge of the device next to the USB jack. Then after the unit wakes up, navigate to the home screen by pressing the button centrally located on the front of the Kindle below the screen. (I doesn't look like a button, it resembles a grille and consists of 4 black parallel lines.) The home page will pop into view unless you were already there upon waking up.
To edit Home screen pages, pinch the Home screen: Touch the screen with two fingers and drag them together. You can then manage Home screen pages. Generally speaking, to rearrange the pages, long-press and drag it to a new spot. When you're done, touch the Back or Home icon.

To add a page, tap the empty page that has a + mark on it. Todelete the page, tap and hold, then drag it to the garbage can. you can select a new home screen by touching the house icon located on each of the pages shown. The home screen is the first screen that is displayed when the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is unlocked.
1. Double-click the Home button. This minimizes the app and displays the iPad's multitasking screen.
2. Drag the stuck app upwards on the screen. This forces the app to close and removes it from the iPad's memory.
3. Press the Home button to display the iPad's home screen. Tap the app's icon to relaunch it. Any unsaved data, like words you typed in a document or progress in a game, is lost, but the app opens and should respond normally.
Press and hold the power button for fifteen seconds or so, ignoring the "Shut down?" prompt, until it turns off. Release the button, then press and hold it for a second or so until it begins to reboot.
